桜の花びらが風に舞う春の午後、住宅街は穏やかで静かでした。

On a spring afternoon when sakura petals danced in the wind, the residential area was calm and quiet.

しかし、その静けさを破るかのように、一本の街灯がちらちらと点滅し始めたのです。

タロウは、小学校の放課後、この街灯を見上げていました。

Taro, after school, was looking up at this streetlight.

He loved detective stories and wanted to solve a big mystery someday.

"Why is that streetlight flickering?" he felt his curiosity stir.

However, the adults said, "It's just a faulty bulb, Taro. Nothing to worry about."

Unsatisfied with those words, Taro decided to investigate on his own.

毎晩、タロウはあの街灯の下に行って、丁寧にノートに点滅のパターンを記録しました。

Every night, Taro went under that streetlight and meticulously recorded the flickering patterns in his notebook.

With the spring breeze blowing pleasantly, Taro happily went home.

他の家々と並ぶ桜の木が静かに見守る中、彼は次の冒険に思いを馳せました。

With sakura trees standing silently alongside other houses, he dreamed of his next adventure.
