  • Tallinna vanalinn on nagu ajamasin.

The old town of Tallinn is like a time machine.

  • Kitsad munakivitänavad, kõrged tornid ja vanad majad jutustavad lugusid möödunud aegadest.

Narrow cobblestone streets, tall towers, and old buildings tell tales of bygone times.

It was yet another summer evening when Leelo and Toomas admired the beauty of the city.

  • Leelo, kunstitudeng, otsis inspiratsiooni.

Leelo, an art student, was seeking inspiration.

Her thoughts were complicated – when and how to tell Toomas about her feelings?

  • Leelo ja Toomas jalutasid mööda Raekoja platsi.

Leelo and Toomas walked across the Raekoja square.

Toomas spoke about how it was once a medieval market square.

Leelo listened to him attentively, but there was a different story in her heart.

She was afraid, but knew she had to talk about her feelings.

  • Äkki tõusis tuul.

    Suddenly the wind picked up.

  • Kõik muutus.

    Everything changed.

  • Pilved tumenesid ja raske vihm hakkas sadama.

Clouds darkened and heavy rain began to fall.

  • „Peame varju otsima,“ ütles Toomas, ja nad jooksid lähimasse kohvikusse.

“We need to find shelter,” said Toomas, and they ran to the nearest café.

  • See oli väike ja hubane, aknast paistis pöörane vihm.

It was small and cozy, with a window overlooking the swirling rain.

  • Kohvikus istudes pühkis Leelo oma märjad juuksed kõrvale.

Sitting in the café, Leelo brushed her wet hair aside.

She watched the rain and thought about how it seemed to gather up all her courage.

  • Aga seal, kohvitassi taga, elas ka lootus.

But there, behind a coffee cup, hope also lived.

  • Ta teadis, et aega pole palju.

She knew there wasn't much time.

  • „Toomas,“ alustas Leelo kõhklevalt, „on midagi, mida ma olen tahtnud sulle rääkida...“

“Toomas,” Leelo began hesitantly, “there’s something I’ve wanted to tell you…”

Toomas, looking at Leelo, could see it was something important.

  • „Milles asi, Leelo?“ küsis ta soojalt.

“What is it, Leelo?” he asked warmly.

  • Leelo hingas sügavalt sisse.

    Leelo took a deep breath.

  • „Ma... ma tunnen sinu vastu rohkem kui lihtsalt sõprust. Ma olen sulle alates meie esimesest kohtumisest mõelnud.“

“I... I feel more for you than just friendship. I’ve been thinking about you since our first meeting.”

  • Toomas imestas. Ta ei oodanud seda.

Toomas was surprised. He hadn't expected this.

  • Aga ta naeratas.

    But he smiled.

  • „Leelo,“ ütles ta pehmelt, „ma olen sinuga oldud aega nautinud.

“Leelo,” he said softly, “I have enjoyed the time spent with you.

  • Sa meeldid mulle, ja ma hindan meie sõprust väga.“

I like you, and I value our friendship greatly.”

  • Vaikus.

    Silence.

Outside, the rain poured down, but inside it was pleasant and warm.

  • Leelo tundis, kuidas pinge temalt langes.

Leelo felt the tension lift from her.

They looked at each other and knew that this conversation would change something.

  • „Kuidas me seda siis teeme?“ naeris Toomas.

“How do we do this, then?” laughed Toomas.

  • Leelo liitus tema naeruga.

Leelo joined in with his laughter.

  • „Alustame sõpradena ja vaatame, kuhu tee viib.

“Let’s start as friends and see where the road leads.

  • Koos saame leida uued lood,“ ütles Leelo.

Together we can find new stories,” said Leelo.

  • Vihm hakkas tasapisi vaibuma, kuid Leelo süda oli täis päikesepaistet.

The rain began to gradually let up, but Leelo's heart was full of sunshine.

Thus, together they found new possibilities in the old town of Tallinn, discovering new places and stories – just as Leelo had hoped.
