У гуцульському селі під горами всі були зайняті підготовкою до щорічного весняного фестивалю, присвяченого Великодню.

In the hutsulske village under the mountains, everyone was busy preparing for the annual spring festival dedicated to Velykden (Easter).

Барвисті дерев'яні хати села прикрашали писанками, а люди готували різноманітні смаколики.

The village's colorful wooden houses were decorated with pysanky (Easter eggs), and people were preparing a variety of treats.

Оксана, молода жінка з цього села, давно відчувала внутрішній конфлікт.

Oksana, a young woman from this village, had long felt an inner conflict.

Вона любила сімейні традиції, проте їй також хотілося додати чогось нового в їхнє життя.

She loved family traditions, but she also wanted to add something new to their lives.

Її брат Ігор з недовірою ставився до змін.

Her brother Ihor was skeptical of changes.

Він вважав, що традиції повинні залишатися такими, якими їх знали діди і прадіди.

He believed the traditions should remain as their grandfathers and great-grandfathers knew them.

Одного ранку Оксана зустрілася з Дмитром, організатором фестивалю, біля великої дерев’яної церкви.

One morning, Oksana met with Dmytro, the organizer of the festival, near the large wooden church.

Дерев’яні двері храму були відкриті для всіх, хто хотів допомагати з підготовкою.

The wooden doors of the church were open to everyone who wanted to help with the preparations.

"Я маю ідею," сказала Оксана, дивлячись на Дмитра з ентузіазмом.

"I have an idea," Oksana said, looking at Dmytro with enthusiasm.

"Чому б не додати до наших танців трохи сучасної музики?

"Why don't we add some modern music to our dances?

Це б привабило молодь.

It would attract the youth."

"Дмитро замислився.

Dmytro pondered.

Він зрозумів, що фестиваль стає менш популярним серед молодших людей.

He realized that the festival was becoming less popular among younger people.

"Це ризик, але ми можемо спробувати," відповів він, задумавши новий план.

"It's a risk, but we can try," he replied, thinking up a new plan.

Ігор, почувши розмову, був невдоволений.

Ihor, hearing the conversation, was displeased.

Він не розумів, навіщо змінювати те, що добре працює.

He didn't understand why they should change something that worked well.

"Ми втратимо нашу справжність," попередив він сестру.

"We will lose our authenticity," he warned his sister.

Та Оксана вирішила не здаватися.

But Oksana decided not to give up.

Прийшов день фестивалю.

The day of the festival arrived.

Сонце яскраво світило, і село було прикрашене як ніколи.

The sun shone brightly, and the village was decorated like never before.

Люди зібралися на великій луці, де зазвичай проходили танці та виступи.

People gathered on the large meadow where the dances and performances usually took place.

Спочатку все йшло, як завжди.

At first, everything went as usual.

Люди в національних костюмах танцювали під звуки трембіти.

People in national costumes danced to the sounds of the trembita (alpine horn).

Але потім сцена змінилася.

But then the scene changed.

Замість звичних мелодій зазвучала сучасна музика, і молодь почала танцювати разом з Оксаною.

Instead of the usual melodies, modern music played, and the youth began to dance along with Oksana.

Спочатку деякі старші люди дивилися зі здивуванням, але поступово всі почали аплодувати.

At first, some older people looked on in surprise, but gradually everyone started clapping.

Усі покоління об'єдналися на зеленій траві, рухаючись в такт.

All generations united on the green grass, moving to the rhythm.

Коли фестиваль завершився, всі були задоволені.

When the festival ended, everyone was satisfied.

Оксана зрозуміла, що запровадила щось нове і корисне.

Oksana realized she had introduced something new and valuable.

Дмитро побачив, як інновації можуть зміцнити традиції.

Dmytro saw how innovations can strengthen traditions.

Навіть Ігор усвідомив, що зміни не завжди несуть загрозу.
