Above the bustling streets of İstanbul, on the top floor of Sapphire Gökdeleni, Emir took a deep breath.

Cam bariyerlerin arkasından, şehrin manzarası büyüleyiciydi.

Behind the glass barriers, the city view was mesmerizing.

Ama Emir, bu yükseklikte olmaktan korkuyordu.

But Emir was afraid of being at this height.

Pandemi nedeniyle bir süredir dışarı çıkmamıştı ve Leyla’nın ısrarlarına dayanamayıp gelmişti.

He hadn't been outside for a while due to the pandemic and couldn't resist Leyla's insistence to come.

Leyla, kardeşinin yanına gelip omzuna dokundu.

Leyla came next to her brother and touched his shoulder.

"Etrafına bak, ne kadar harika, değil mi?" dedi.

"Look around, isn't it amazing?" she said.

Emir, dudaklarını zorlayarak bir gülümseme kondurdu ve başını salladı.

Emir forced a smile and nodded.

O sırada yanlarına gelmiş olan Cem, çantasını düzeltti ve "Fotoğraf çekilebilir miyiz?" diye sordu. Leyla hemen kabul etti.

Meanwhile, Cem, who had joined them, adjusted his bag and asked, "Can we take a photo?" Leyla readily accepted.

Emir, Leyla’nın heyecanını kırmamak için sakin görünmeye çalıştı.

Emir tried to appear calm not to dampen Leyla's excitement.

Tam o sırada, asansörden bir anons duyuldu.

Just then, an announcement came from the elevator.

"Asansörler geçici bir süre çalışmıyor." Emir'in kalbi hızla atmaya başladı.

"Elevators are temporarily out of service." Emir's heart started to race.

Leyla, biraz şaşkın, ama neşeli bir ifadeyle "Sanırım biraz burada kalacağız!" dedi.

Leyla, somewhat surprised, but with a cheerful expression, said, "I guess we'll be staying here for a bit!"

Emir içeride bir panik dalgası hissediyordu.

Inside, Emir felt a wave of panic.

Zaman geçtikçe, Cem onları rahatlatmak için bazı önerilerde bulundu.

As time passed, Cem made some suggestions to reassure them.

"Korkuyorsan, dikkatini konuşmamıza vermelisin," dedi.

"If you're scared, you should focus on our conversation," he said.

Emir, Cem’e minnettar bir bakış attı.

Emir gave Cem a grateful look.

They delved into conversation.

Fakat aniden, Emir'in cebinden aceleyle çıkardığı telefon kaydı ve cam bariyerlere doğru yuvarlandı.

But suddenly, Emir's phone slipped out of his pocket in a rush and rolled towards the glass barriers.

Derin bir nefes almak zorunda kaldı.

He had to take a deep breath.

Telefonu öylece bırakabilir miydi?

Could he just leave his phone like that?

Hayır, Leyla'nın hayran dolu bakışlarını üzerinde hissediyordu.

No, he felt Leyla's admiring gaze on him.

Yavaşça, çok dikkatli bir şekilde telefonuna doğru yaklaştı.

Slowly, very carefully, he approached his phone.

Elleri titreyerek telefonu kavradı.

With trembling hands, he grasped the phone.

O an, etrafındaki her şey sessizleşti.

At that moment, everything around him became silent.

Birkaç saniye sonra sesini buldu ve "Tamam, başardım," dedi.

A few seconds later, he found his voice and said, "Okay, I did it."

Leyla ve Cem coşkulu bir şekilde onu alkışladı.

Leyla and Cem enthusiastically applauded him.

O sırada asansör tekrar çalışmaya başlamıştı.

At that moment, the elevator resumed working.

When they descended, Emir felt filled with happiness.

Smiling at the entrance of Sapphire Gökdeleni, he joked, "No one can say I'm open to this type of adventure again!"
