It was a busy day at the İstanbul Akvaryumu.

İçerideki koridorlar kalabalık, ışıklar hafif loş ve her bir akvaryumun ötesinde rengârenk deniz canlıları.

The corridors inside were crowded, the lights slightly dim, and beyond each aquarium were colorful sea creatures.

Ege, Merve ve Cem’le birlikte okul gezisine katıldı.

Ege joined the school trip with Merve and Cem.

Ege, deniz yaşamına hayran.

Ege is fascinated by marine life.

Gelecekte deniz biyoloğu olmayı düşlüyor.

He dreams of becoming a marine biologist in the future.

Ege'nin kalbi biraz daha hızlı atıyor.

Ege's heart was beating a little faster.

"Bu tanktaki balıklar çok ilginç!" diye düşündü.

"The fish in this tank are so interesting!" he thought.

Merve enerjik ve hep merakla etrafta koşturuyor.

Merve was energetic and always running around with curiosity.

“Ege, hadi anlatsana bu balıklar hakkında!” diye ısrar etti Merve.

“Ege, come on, tell us about these fish!” she insisted.

Ege, Merve'ye gülümseyip kendini topladı.

Ege smiled at Merve and gathered himself.

"Peki" dedi.

"Okay," he said.

Cem hemen araya girip esprili bir şekilde, “Ama yanlış şeyler söylerse gülmek yok!” dedi.

Cem immediately jumped in playfully, “But if he says something wrong, no laughing!”

Herkes gülümsedi.

Everyone smiled.

Cem’in esprileri, her zamanki gibi gerginliği hafifletiyordu.

Cem's jokes, as always, eased the tension.

Ege derin bir nefes aldı.

Ege took a deep breath.

“Bu tanktaki büyük balık balina köpekbalığı.

“The big fish in this tank is a whale shark.

Dünyanın en büyük balık türüdür,” dedi cesurca.

It is the largest fish species in the world,” he said boldly.

O sırada öğretmen yanlarına geldi.

At that moment, the teacher came over.

“Ege, çok güzel anlatıyorsun.

“Ege, you’re explaining very well.

Peki, bu balina köpekbalığı kaç dişi var, biliyor musun?”

So, do you know how many teeth this whale shark has?”

Ege, kendini bir anda sınanmış hissetti.

Ege suddenly felt tested.

Kalbi gümbür gümbür atıyordu ama bilgi de, heyecan da aynı anda içindeki cesareti ateşleyen bir kıvılcım gibiydi.

His heart was pounding, but the spark of both knowledge and excitement ignited his courage.

Derin bir nefes aldı ve bilgilerini hatırladı.

He took a deep breath and recalled his information.

“Balina köpekbalığının yaklaşık üç bin dişi var ama dişleri çok küçüktür!” dedi.

“The whale shark has about three thousand teeth, but they are very small!” he said.

Etrafındakiler şaşırdı.

Those around him were amazed.

Merve ve Cem ona hayranlık dolu gözlerle bakıyordu.

Merve and Cem looked at him with admiration.

Öğretmen de gülümsedi.

The teacher smiled as well.

“Harikasın Ege!

“You’re great, Ege!

Deniz yaşamına olan ilgini bariz bir şekilde göstermişsin!” dedi.

You’ve clearly shown your interest in marine life!” she said.

Ege'nin içi artık çok daha rahattı.

Ege felt much more at ease now.

Arkadaşları ve öğretmenlerinden aldığı destekle özgüveni artmıştı.

With the support from his friends and teacher, his confidence had increased.

Evet, gölgelerde kalmayı bırakıp, parlak ışıklar altında parlamak güzeldi.

Yes, it was nice to stop staying in the shadows and shine under the bright lights.

Artık, deniz yaşamı bilgisiyle arkadaşlarına ve sınıfına katkıda bulunabileceğini biliyordu.

Now he knew he could contribute to his friends and class with his knowledge of marine life.

Kendi sesine ve tutkusuna güveniyor; hayallerine daha bir emin adımlarla yaklaşıyordu.

He trusted his voice and passion, stepping more confidently towards his dreams.
