On a winter evening in İstanbul, the hospital corridors were eerily silent, but the New Year's lights in the lobby were elegantly glowing.

Kar hafifçe yağıyor, şehrin sokaklarını beyaza bürüyordu.

The snow was gently falling, covering the city's streets in white.

Eylül, nöbetçi hemşire odasında oturuyordu. Kafasında dolaşan düşünceler arasında kaybolmuştu: Yaşlı bir hasta, Bay Kemal, bir anda kaybolmuştu.

Eylül was sitting in the on-call nurse's room, lost in the thoughts swirling in her head: An elderly patient, Mr. Kemal, had suddenly disappeared.

Eylül, onu bulmak için derin bir kararlılıkla doluydu. Hem mesleki endişeleri hem de vicdanı onu aramaya zorluyordu.

Filled with a deep determination to find him, both her professional concerns and her conscience urged her to search.

"Ne kadar tuhaf," dedi kendi kendine.

"How strange," she said to herself.

"Nasıl bir insan, bu kadar kalabalık bir hastanede kaybolur?"

"How can a person disappear in such a crowded hospital?"

Eylül, hastanenin labirente benzeyen koridorlarında dolanmaya başladı.

Eylül began wandering through the maze-like corridors of the hospital.

Hafızasında geçmişin hataları canlanıyordu.

Memories of past mistakes were surfacing in her mind.

Geçmişteki bir hatası onu hâlâ rahatsız ediyordu, ama bu kez dikkatli olacaktı.

A mistake from her past still bothered her, but this time she would be careful.

Yanına güvendiği iki arkadaşını çağırdı: Murat ve Leyla.

She called upon two friends she trusted: Murat and Leyla.

Murat, sorumlu bir doktordu; Leyla ise hastanenin tecrübeli hemşirelerinden biriydi.

Murat was a responsible doctor; Leyla was one of the hospital's experienced nurses.

"He couldn't have gone anywhere else," said Leyla, thinking more calmly than the others.

"No one goes to the old building section, but maybe he accidentally went there."

Eylül, Murat ve Leyla ile birlikte adımlarını hızlandırarak eski binanın kapısına geldiler.

Eylül, along with Murat and Leyla, hurried to the door of the old building.

Uzun zamandır kullanılmayan bu kanat, tozlu ve sessizdi.

This long-unused wing was dusty and silent.

Işıkları açtılar ve yavaşça ilerlemeye başladılar.

They turned on the lights and began to proceed slowly.

"Bir yerde bir ipucu olmalı," dedi Murat, etrafına bakarak.

"There must be a clue somewhere," said Murat, looking around.

Bir süre sonra, eski duvarlardan birinin arkasında bir hareket fark ettiler.

After a while, they noticed a movement behind one of the old walls.

Eylül dikkatlice yaklaştı ve eski bir kapının arkasında kaybolmuş olan Bay Kemal’i buldular.

Eylül approached cautiously and found missing Mr. Kemal behind an old door.

Yaşlı adam, soğuktan titriyordu ama sağlıklı görünüyordu, sadece biraz şaşkındı.

The elderly man was shivering from the cold but looked healthy, just a bit confused.

"Bay Kemal! İyisiniz, merak etmeyin," dedi Eylül rahatlamış bir ses tonuyla.

"Mr. Kemal! You’re okay, don't worry," said Eylül with a relieved tone.

"Sizi hemen geri götüreceğiz."

"We'll take you back right away."

Hastanenin daha kalabalık ve sıcak bölümlerine doğru geri dönerken, Eylül artık kendine daha çok güveniyordu.

As they returned to the busier and warmer parts of the hospital, Eylül felt more confident.

Kurallar önemlidir ama bazen içgüdülerimize de güvenmemiz gerekir.

She realized that while rules are important, sometimes we also need to trust our instincts.

Bunu öğrendiği için artık daha huzurluydu.

Having learned this, she felt more at peace.

Murat ve Leyla ile birlikte Bay Kemal’i odasına ulaştırdılar.

Together with Murat and Leyla, they escorted Mr. Kemal back to his room.

"Teşekkür ederim," dedi Eylül.

"Thank you," said Eylül.

"Destekleriniz sayesinde bunu başardım."

"I managed this thanks to your support."

Leyla gülümsedi, "Arkadaşlar birbirine böyle yardım eder," dedi.

Leyla smiled, "That's how friends help one another," she said.

Eylül için bu olay, sadece Bay Kemal'i bulmak değil, kendi iç sesine yeniden güvenebilmek anlamına geliyordu.

For Eylül, this incident was not just about finding Mr. Kemal, but also about being able to trust her inner voice again.

Kararlılığının ve arkadaşlarının yardımıyla, kışın soğuk gecesinde hastaneye sıcak bir huzur yaymıştı.
