ท่ามกลางเสียงฝนพรำและกลิ่นหอมของดินที่เปียกชุ่ม มีชายคนหนึ่งชื่อว่า อนงค์ ที่สุงสิงในวอร์ดจิตเวชแห่งหนึ่งที่ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมืองไทย

Amidst the sound of falling rain and the fragrance of damp earth, there was a man named Anong who resided in a psychiatric ward located in the heart of Muang Thai.

Here, Anong was known as someone who loved plants with all his heart, especially sweet-smelling fruits like mangoes.

เช้าวันหนึ่ง อนงค์ดึงดูดความสนใจของพยาบาลบูรณ์และเพื่อนผู้ป่วยเช่นนายชัย เมื่อเขาประกาศความตั้งใจที่จะปลูกต้นมะม่วงในลานหญ้าเขียวขจีที่ตั้งอยู่กลางวอร์ด

One morning, Anong attracted the attention of Nurse Buran and fellow patient Mr. Chai, when he announced his intention to plant a mango tree in the lush green yard situated in the center of the ward.

"ต้นมะม่วงนี้จะทำให้เรามีความสุข ได้นั่งรวมกันกินมะม่วงหวานๆ อีกทั้งยังเป็นที่พักผ่อนดวงใจ" อนงค์กล่าวด้วยสีหน้าเจือด้วยความหวัง

"This mango tree will bring us happiness, allowing us to sit together and eat sweet mangoes, and it will also be a refuge for our hearts," Anong said with a face filled with hope.

ทว่าความคิดของอนงค์ถูกทัดทานด้วยข้อกังวลมากมายจากบุคลากร พวกเขากังวลเรื่องความไม่แน่นอนและระเบียบข้อบังคับของโรงพยาบาล

However, Anong's idea was met with numerous concerns from the staff, who were worried about uncertainties and hospital regulations.

อนงค์จึงตัดสินใจเตรียมการพูดสุนทรพจน์ ทั้งยังนำพุ่มเล็กๆ มาทำการสาธิตวิธีปลูก

So, Anong decided to prepare a speech and also brought a small potted plant to demonstrate planting techniques.

อนงค์ยืนในลานเรา และเริ่มต้นพูดขึ้น "ดูสิครับ พี่บูรณ์ น้องชัย ทุกคน," เขาพลางใช้มือชี้ไปที่ต้นไม้ในกระถาง "ต้นเล็กๆ นี้ เปรียบเหมือนความสุขที่เติบโตได้ ถ้าเราดูแลและเอาใจใส่"

Standing in the yard, Anong began to speak, "Look here, Nurse Buran, Mr. Chai, everyone," he gestured to the potted plant, "This small plant symbolizes happiness that can grow if we nurture and care for it."
