ในวันหนึ่งที่ฝนตกพรำลงมาบนกรุงเทพฯ นีรันและพิมพ์ชนกเดินเข้าสู่บ้านจิม ทอมป์สัน

On one rainy day in Krung Thep, Niran and Phimchanok walked into the Jim Thompson House.

พวกเขาอยากหนีฝนและหาอาหารกลางวันดีๆ ทาน

They wanted to escape the rain and find a good place for lunch.

Niran is someone who enjoys trying new foods, while Phimchanok loves art and culture.

"เราตามกลุ่มนี้ไปดีไหม น่าจะมีร้านอาหารที่น่าสนใจนะ" นีรันเสนอให้พิมพ์ชนก

"Shall we follow this group? There might be an interesting restaurant," Niran suggested to Phimchanok.

ทั้งสองจึงตามกลุ่มทัวร์ไป แต่พอพบว่าแทนที่จะเดินไปห้องอาหาร กลับพาพวกเขาเข้าไปสู่ห้องสัมมนาเกี่ยวกับลายผ้า

So, they followed the tour group, but instead of heading to a dining room, it led them into a seminar about textile patterns.

พิมพ์ชนกทนไม่ได้ต้องการเปลี่ยนบรรยากาศ ส่วนพิมพ์ชนกนั้นเริ่มสนใจฟังรายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับลายผ้าที่คนอื่นพูดกันไปเรื่อยๆ

Phimchanok found it unbearable and wanted a change of scenery, while Phimchanok started to get intrigued by the details about the textile patterns that others were discussing.

เวลาผ่านไป นีรันเริ่มตระหนักว่าทำไมเขายังไม่ได้กลิ่นอาหารแม้แต่นิดเดียว

As time passed, Niran began to realize why he hadn't smelled any food at all.

"พิม อยากจะไปดูงานศิลปะไหม เราแวะดูนิดหน่อยก่อนไปหาของกินกัน"

"Phim, would you like to go see some art? Let's take a quick look before finding something to eat."

ด้วยไหวพริบของพิมพ์ชนก เธอพยักหน้าแล้วลองเสริมว่า "เราไปดูงานนิทรรศการอื่นดีกว่า น่าสนใจมาก"

With Phimchanok's wit, she nodded and added, "Let's go see another exhibition; it seems very interesting."

ทั้งสองจึงแกล้งเดินเฉยเมยออกมาจากกลุ่มนั้น และเมื่อพวกเขามาถึงนิทรรศการศิลปะ สีสันสดใสของภาพศิลป์นั้นทำให้พวกเขาลืมเรื่องผิดพลาดก่อนหน้านี้

Both then casually walked away from the group, and when they reached the art exhibition, the vibrant colors of the art pieces made them forget about their earlier mistake.
