At the Suan Chatuchak in the heart of Bangkok, with its lush trees and light rain drizzling down to create a refreshing atmosphere, Narin and Sirin, two siblings, sit on a bench placed under a large tree.

นรินทร์ถอนหายใจ ขมวดคิ้ว

Narin sighed and furrowed his brows.

“งานพี่มันยุ่ง ถ้าเราจ้างพยาบาลมาดูแลแม่จะทำให้พี่มีเวลาเยอะขึ้น แต่พี่ก็ไม่อยากให้แม่รู้สึกโดดเดี่ยว ไม่มีความอบอุ่นจากลูกๆ”

"My work is busy. Hiring a nurse to take care of mom would give me more time, but I don't want mom to feel lonely and without the warmth of her children."

สิรินพยักหน้า เอื้อมมือไปจับมือพี่ชาย

Sirin nodded, reaching out to hold her brother's hand.

“แต่เราต้องการดูแลแม่ด้วยตัวเองมากกว่านี้

"But we want to take care of mom ourselves more.

พี่ลองคิดว่าถ้าเราผลัดกันไปเยี่ยมแม่ล่ะ

What if we take turns visiting her?

เราไปวันหยุด แล้วให้พยาบาลดูแลวันธรรมดา”

ก่อนที่นรินทร์จะตอบ สายฝนเริ่มเทกระทบพุ่มไม้ใหญ่

บางทีก็เป็นพี่ที่ควรเปิดใจลองทำในแบบที่ซอฟต์บ้าง” นรินทร์เอ่ยเบาๆ

Maybe I should be open to trying a softer approach," Narin said softly.

สิรินยิ้มอย่างอบอุ่น

Sirin smiled warmly.

“ขอบคุณค่ะพี่

"Thank you, phi.

ลองไปเที่ยวบ้านทุกสุดสัปดาห์ แม่ก็ยิ้มกว้างขึ้นแน่ๆ”

If we visit home every weekend, mom will surely smile more."

นรินทร์พยักหน้า

Narin nodded.

“เรามาตามแผนนี้กัน แต่สัญญาว่าเราต้องคุยกันบ่อยๆ นะ”

"Let's stick to this plan, but we have to promise to keep communicating frequently."

สุดท้าย ทั้งสองบรรลุถึงการตกลงกันได้ ด้วยการผสมผสานระหว่างความต้องการของทุกคน

In the end, they reached an agreement by blending everyone's needs.
