กลางฤดูร้อนในกรุงเทพฯ ที่ตลาดจตุจักรมีชีวิตชีวาเต็มไปด้วยสีสันหลากหลายจากผ้าทอลวนกับกลิ่นหอมฉุนจากอาหารริมทางและเสียงพูดคุยอย่างร่าเริงของนักท่องเที่ยวและคนท้องถิ่น

In the middle of summer in Bangkok, the Chatuchak market was lively and full of vibrant colors from woven fabrics, the pungent aroma of street food, and the cheerful chatter of tourists and locals alike.

นีรุตเต็มไปด้วยความตื่นเต้น

Nirut was filled with excitement.

เขามาพร้อมกับภักพาวเพื่อซื้อของที่ระลึกที่ไม่เหมือนใคร

He came along with Phakpa to buy unique souvenirs.

ขณะที่เดินผ่านร้านราคาประหยัด บรรยากาศคึกคักทำให้ทุกอย่างดูน่าสนใจ

As they walked past the budget-friendly shops, the bustling atmosphere made everything seem interesting.

นีรุตสังเกตเห็นช้างเป่าลมขนาดเท่าช้างจริงต้อนรับอยู่ที่หน้าร้าน

Nirut noticed an inflatable elephant the size of a real one welcoming visitors at the front of a store.

“น่ารักจัง” นีรุตพูด ซึ่งเป็นช้างเตี้ยแขนสั้น แต่ยิ้มเห็นฟันขาว

"How cute," Nirut said, referring to the short elephant with stubby arms but a big, toothy smile.

"คุณพอใจไหมคะ?" อริสาเจ้าของร้านถาม ยิ้มให้ด้วยสายตาเต็มความหวัง

"Are you satisfied?" Arisa, the shop owner, asked with hopeful eyes.

“สวยดีครับ ราคานี้รวมส่วนลดไหมครับ” นีรุตถาม พลางชี้ไปที่ป้ายราคา

"It's beautiful. Does this price include a discount?" Nirut asked, pointing to the price tag.

อริสาเห็นป้ายใหญ่เห็นราคาเป็นตัวโต

Arisa saw the big sign with a large price displayed.

“ค่า ห้าร้อยบาทค่ะ” เธอตอบ โดยที่นีรุตเข้าใจผิดเพราะไม่เข้าใจกฎหมายการแสดงราคา เค้าคิดว่าลดเหลือห้าร้อยบาท

"Yes, five hundred baht," she replied, while Nirut misunderstood because he didn't understand the pricing law, thinking it had been reduced to five hundred baht.

“ดีมากครับ” นีรุตตัดสินใจรีบซื้อ

"Great," Nirut decided to make a quick purchase.

ภักพามองด้วยสายตาคล้ายสงสัยแต่ก็ไม่ว่าอะไร

Phakpa watched with a curious look but said nothing.

หลังจากนีรุตจ่ายเงินแล้ว เขารู้ความจริงว่าไม่มีส่วนลด และเขาใช้เงินไปเยอะ

After Nirut paid, he realized there was no discount, and he had spent a lot.

แต่เขาตัดสินใจเชื่อว่าความทรงจำนี้คุ้มค่ามากกว่า

But he decided to believe the memory was worth more.

As he intended to leave the market, suddenly his inflatable elephant began to expand even more, creating amusement and laughter from tourists and vendors in the area.

“โอ๊ะ! นี่มันข่าวประหลาดในหน้าหนาวเลย” มีเสียงจากนักข่าวที่วิ่งเข้ามาถ่ายรูป

"Oh! This is quite the news for winter," a voice from a reporter exclaimed as they rushed in to take pictures.

นีรุตหัวเราะทั้งอายทั้งสนุกสนานในเวลาเดียวกัน

Nirut laughed, feeling both embarrassed and amused at the same time.

“ฉันไม่ได้แพคดี ไม่ได้แพคดีเลยจริงๆ” เขาพูดขำขัน

"I didn't pack well, didn't pack well at all," he joked.

สุดท้าย นีรุตได้รับความเป็นเพื่อนใหม่จากผู้คนรอบข้าง

In the end, Nirut gained new friends from those around him.

เขาได้ขอบคุณอริสา และได้รับของที่ระลึกเล็กๆน้อยๆจากอริสาเป็นของปลอบขวัญ

He thanked Arisa and received a small keepsake from her as a consolation.

นีรุตกลับจากประสบการณ์ครั้งนี้ด้วยความทรงจำที่ไม่คาดคิด

Nirut returned from this experience with unexpected memories.

เขาได้เรียนรู้ส่งโดยไม่ทราบล่วงหน้าและยิ่งรักการท่องเที่ยวมากขึ้น

"Next time, I'll read the price tags more thoroughly," he told Phakpa, laughing while proudly carrying the inflatable elephant, as this misunderstanding had created a memorable note in his travel journal.
