เมื่อลมในฤดูใบไม้ผลิเริ่มพัดเย็นในเช้าวันใหม่ที่โรงเรียนประจำกลางป่าชายเมืองเชียงใหม่ นิลันและอนัญญาก็เดินเล่นในสวนที่เต็มไปด้วยกลิ่นหอมของดอกลีลาวดี

As the cool spring breeze began to blow on a new morning at the boarding school nestled in the forest on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, Nilan and Ananya took a walk in the garden, filled with the fragrance of dok leelawadee flowers.

"ฉันต้องกลับบ้าน" อนัญญาพูดเบา ๆ ดวงตาเต็มไปด้วยความกังวล "ครอบครัวของฉันมีปัญหา ฉันได้จดหมายจากพ่อแม่"

"I have to go home," Ananya said softly, her eyes full of concern. "My family is in trouble. I received a letter from my parents."

นิลันฟังแล้วรู้สึกเหมือนก้อนหินหนัก ๆ มาตั้งในอก "เธอแน่ใจไหมว่าต้องไป?" เขาถามด้วยเสียงที่เขาพยายามไม่ให้สั่น

Nilan listened, feeling as though a heavy stone was placed upon his chest. "Are you sure you have to go?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

"Yes," she replied with certainty. "My family needs me."

Days later, during the powerful Songkran festival on the wide school grounds, Nilan joined others in water splashing but his heart remained with Ananya.

At the end of the day, the two sat resting near a Thai pavilion adorned with beautiful Songkran decorations.

นิลันได้ตัดสินใจพูดออกมา "ฉันไม่อยากให้เธอไป แต่ฉันรู้ว่าฉันต้องสนับสนุนเธอ"

Nilan decided to speak up, "I don't want you to go, but I know I must support you."

อนัญญายิ้มเศร้า "ฉันก็ไม่อยากไป แต่ฉันต้องทำ ครอบครัวต้องมาก่อน"

Ananya gave a sad smile. "I don't want to go either, but I must. Family comes first."

นิลันค่อย ๆ พยักหน้า เขารู้แล้วว่าแม้จะห่างกัน ความสัมพันธ์ของพวกเขาก็ยังจะคงอยู่ "เราจะติดต่อกัน ฉันสัญญา"

Nilan nodded slowly. He realized that even when apart, their friendship would endure. "We will keep in touch, I promise."
