The Talaat Nat Jatujak in Krung Thep was bustling this morning.

ผู้คนเดินไปมา ลมหนาวอ่อน ๆ ของฤดูหนาวพัดผ่าน

People were walking around as a mild winter breeze blew through.

นี่ไม่ใช่ฤดูหนาวที่มีหิมะ แต่เป็นช่วงฤดูหนาวที่แห้งและอบอุ่น

This wasn't a snowy winter, but rather a dry and warm season.

"นิรันดร์ เรายังหาไม่ได้เลยนะ" สมปองยิ้ม

"Niran," said Sompong with a smile, "we still haven't found it.

"ตลาดใหญ่มาก ของก็เยอะ ไม่รู้จะเริ่มที่ไหน"

The market is huge with so many things, I don't know where to start."

นิรันดร์ ผู้ออฟฟิศวัยหนุ่ม ยืนอยู่ข้าง ๆ เขา

Niran, a young office worker, stood beside him.

เขาต้องการหาอะไรพิเศษไปให้พ่อในวันพ่อแห่งชาติ วันที่ 5 ธันวาคม เป็นวันที่คนไทยระลึกถึงพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดช กับซาบซึ้งในความรักและการอบรมจากพ่อ

He wanted to find something special to give to his father for Father's Day on December 5th, a day when Thais commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and appreciate the love and guidance from their fathers.

"ผมอยากให้อะไรที่มีความหมาย" นิรันดร์หันไปพูดกับสมปอง "ของที่พ่อจะรักและทำให้นึกถึงวันเก่า ๆ"

"I want to give something meaningful," Niran said to Sompong, "something my dad will love and that will remind him of old times."

They waded into the market, passing by food stalls with enticing aromas, filled with clothes, accessories, and various souvenirs.

Niran stopped in front of a booth selling paintings, beautiful Thai art.

เขาคิดว่านี่อาจเป็นของขวัญที่ดี แต่ยังไม่รู้สึกว่ามันพิเศษพอ

He thought it might make a good gift but didn't feel it was special enough.

"พี่ลองคิดถึงเรื่องพ่อเล่าให้ฟังตอนเด็ก ๆ สิ" สมปองเสนอ

"Think about the stories your dad used to tell you as a kid," Sompong suggested.

"อาจทำให้พี่คิดออกเอง"

"It might help you figure it out."

นิรันดร์คิดถึงเรื่องที่พ่อเล่าให้ฟังเมื่อยังเป็นเด็ก เรื่องราวของประวัติศาสตร์ไทยที่พ่อรักมีเสน่ห์และน่าติดตาม

Niran thought about the stories his father used to tell him as a child—the captivating and intriguing tales of Thai history his father loved.

นิรันดร์มองไปรอบ ๆ จนกระทั่งเห็นร้านหนังสือเก่าร้านหนึ่ง

He looked around until he saw an old bookstore.

"สมปอง ดูนั่นสิ" นิรันดร์ยิ้มเมื่อเห็นหนังสือเล่มหนึ่งในร้าน

"Sompong, look at that," Niran smiled when he saw a book in the store.

มันดูเก่าซึ่งกระดาษเหลืองและมีหน้าหนังสือที่เกือบจะยุ่ย แต่เป็นหนังสือที่เต็มไปด้วยประวัติศาสตร์ไทย

It looked old with yellowing paper and pages that were almost worn out, but it was filled with Thai history.

"นี่แหละ ใช่เลย"

"This is it."

"ใช่ พี่นิรันดร์ นี่เป็นของที่พ่อพี่ต้องชอบ" สมปองกล่าวยิ้ม

"Yes, Pi Niran, this is something your dad will definitely love," Sompong said, smiling.

นิรันดร์ซื้อมันทันที รู้สึกพอใจมากแล้ว และรู้ว่าจะเป็นวันที่ดีที่เขาและพ่อจะได้นั่งคุยกันเกี่ยวกับเรื่องราวจากหนังสือเล่มนี้

Niran bought it immediately, feeling very satisfied, knowing it would be a great day where he and his father could sit and chat about the stories within this book.

"วันพ่อปีนี้จะพิเศษจริง ๆ" นิรันดร์คิดด้วยความสุข

"This Father's Day will truly be special," Niran thought with happiness.

เขาไม่เพียงแต่ได้ของขวัญที่ดี แต่ยังรู้สึกว่ามีความผูกพันกับพ่อและมีความรู้สึกขอบคุณมากยิ่งขึ้นจากใจ
