พิชัยยืนอยู่บนเรือไม้ที่ลอยอยู่กลางตลาดน้ำในกรุงเทพฯ

Phichai stood on a wooden boat floating in the middle of a floating market in Bangkok.

เขาสูดลมหายใจเข้าลึก สายลมเย็นๆ ของฤดูใบไม้ร่วงพัดเบาๆ

He took a deep breath, as the gentle, cool autumn breeze blew softly.

อโนงพี่สาวของเขาเดินตามหลังด้วยรอยยิ้ม

His sister, Anong, followed behind with a smile.

"พิชัย อย่าลืมจุดประสงค์ของเรานะ" อโนงเตือน พยายามไม่ให้ตัวเองหลงไปกับของที่ระยิบระยับรอบๆ

"Phichai, don't forget our purpose," Anong reminded him, trying not to get distracted by the sparkling items around them.

ตลาดน้ำเต็มไปด้วยเสียงเรียกจากพ่อค้าแม่ค้า

The floating market was filled with shouts from the vendors.

"มาดูนี่สิ! ของดีๆ มีให้เลือกมากมาย!" เสียงของคมอนดังแข็งแกร่ง เขาเป็นพ่อค้าที่มีเสน่ห์และรู้วิธีดึงดูดลูกค้า

"Come see! Plenty of good things to choose from!" The strong voice belonged to Kam-on, a charming merchant who knew how to attract customers.

เขาเรียกพิชัยและอโนงที่เดินผ่านมา "หนุ่มน้อย สนใจโคมลอยสวยๆ ไหม?"

He called out to Phichai and Anong as they walked by, "Young man, interested in beautiful sky lanterns?"

พิชัยหยุด

Phichai stopped.

เขาเห็นโคมลอยที่มีสีสันจัดจ้าน แขวนอยู่ในร้านของคมอน

He saw vibrant sky lanterns hanging in Kam-on’s shop.

มันดูสวยงามและโดดเด่น แต่พิชัยยังคงลังเลใจ

They were beautiful and stood out, but Phichai remained hesitant.

He looked at the sky lanterns and searched for something more meaningful.

อโนงจูงแขนพิชัย

Anong tugged on Phichai's arm.

"เราไปดูที่ร้านอื่นกันเถอะ" เธอกล่าวเมื่อเห็นน้องชายของเธอกำลังตัดสินใจยาก

"Let's look at another shop," she suggested when she saw her brother struggling to decide.

As they walked along, they found small krathongs made from banana leaves and fresh flowers.

"Phichai, this matches your feelings," Anong whispered.

พิชัยพยักหน้า ความมั่นใจกลับมา

Phichai nodded, confidence returning to him.

When they returned home with the krathong, Phichai felt his choice was right.
