During the rainy season, gray clouds blanket Bangkok, and the floating markets are filled with loud sounds echoing throughout the canal.

อนงค์ยืนอยู่บนเรือหางยาวที่ลอยอยู่กลางตลาดน้ำแห่งหนึ่งในกรุงเทพฯ

Anong stands on a long-tail boat floating in the middle of one such market in Bangkok.

อากาศเย็นจากฝนที่พัดมาบางครั้ง ทำให้อนงค์ถูกกระตุ้นด้วยความทรงจำของยายที่รักยิ่ง

The cool air from the rain occasionally stimulates memories of her beloved grandmother.

"พี่ชาย! หนูแน่ใจนะว่าเครื่องรางของยายต้องอยู่ที่นี่" อนงค์กล่าวอย่างแน่วแน่

"Brother! I'm sure grandma's amulet is here," Anong said firmly.

แต่พี่ชายของเธอ, พิชัย, แค่ส่ายหัว

But her brother, Pichai, just shook his head.

"อนงค์, เลอะเทอะน่า มันก็แค่ฝันหวาน

"Anong, that's nonsense. It's just a sweet dream.

เครื่องรางนั้นหายไปนานแล้ว" พิชัยตอบ พลางถอนหายใจ

That amulet has been lost for a long time," Pichai responded, sighing.

ซูดา เพื่อนสนิทของอนงค์, ยืนอยู่ข้างๆ เธอด้วยรอยยิ้มที่เริ่มซีดเผือด

Suda, Anong's close friend, stood beside her with a fading smile.

แม้จะดูร่าเริงแต่ในใจมีความลับที่หนักอึ้งเกี่ยวกับเครื่องรางนั้น

Although she appeared cheerful, she was burdened by a heavy secret regarding the amulet.

เธอดึงแขนอนงค์แล้วพูดขึ้นเบาๆ "ถ้าอยากลองหาดูก็ลองเถอะ อนงค์"

She tugged Anong's arm and whispered, "If you want to try and look, go ahead, Anong."

"เราเริ่มที่ไหนล่ะ" อนงค์พูด หน้าตามุ่งมั่น

"Where should we start?" Anong asked with determination on her face.

พวกเขาเดินไปรอบ ๆ เรือพายที่ดาดน้ำล้นตลอดคลอง เสียงเจรจากับกลิ่นของผลไม้และเครื่องเทศต่าง ๆ แตกต่างกันไปในทุกมุม

They walked around the rowboats overflowing throughout the canal, with the sound of negotiations and the scent of various fruits and spices differing at every corner.

เมื่อพวกเขามาถึงเรือลำหนึ่ง อนงค์หยุดชะงักทันที

When they reached a particular boat, Anong suddenly stopped.

I've seen this amulet before.

When grandma was still alive, I helped her sell it myself."

"ทำไมเธอไม่บอกฉัน!?" อนงค์ถามอย่างช้ำ

"Why didn't you tell me!?" Anong asked, hurt.

"ฉันกลัวว่าเธอจะโกรธ แต่ฉันคิดว่ามันดีมากกว่าถึงจะบอกตอนนี้" ซูดาพูดพร้อมน้ำตาหนึ่งหยด

"I was afraid you'd be angry, but I think it's better to tell you now," Suda said, a tear dropping.

พิชัยเห็นสถานการณ์ ก็เข้ามาช่วยกันเจรจากับคนขาย

Seeing the situation, Pichai stepped in to help negotiate with the seller.

เขาพยายามสัดส่วนราคา

He tried to haggle the price.

หลังจากนานพอสมควร พวกเขาทั้งสามได้กลับคืนมาเครื่องรางนั้นอีกครั้ง

After a considerable amount of time, the three of them finally reacquired the amulet.

อนงค์หายใจยาว รู้สึกดีกับเพื่อนของเธอ

Anong took a deep breath, feeling better towards her friend.

เธอหันกลับไปหาซูดา "ฉันให้อภัยเธอ

She turned back to Suda, "I forgive you.

เราคือเพื่อนกัน และสิ่งสำคัญที่สุดคือเราอยู่ด้วยกัน"

We are friends, and most importantly, we're together."

ท้ายสุด พวกเขาทั้งสามคนกลับด้วยรอยยิ้มที่สดใส พร้อมเครื่องรางที่หวนกลับมาในมือ

In the end, the three of them returned with bright smiles, the amulet once again in their hands.

พายเรือไปตามคลองเล็กๆที่เงียบสงบ เม็ดฝนยังคงโปรยปราย แต่ในใจของพวกเขาอบอุ่นไปด้วยมิตรภาพและความรัก

They paddled along a quiet, small canal, while raindrops continued to fall, but their hearts were warmed with friendship and love.
