Mateja, Nejc in Bojan so se zbrali v Mestni knjižnici Ljubljana, v kotičku, kjer so mehki naslanjači in velika okna, skozi katera je vdirala topla jesenska svetloba.
Mateja, Nejc, and Bojan gathered in the Mestna knjižnica Ljubljana, in a corner where there were soft armchairs and large windows through which warm autumn light streamed in.
Bil je dan reformacije.
It was Reformation Day.
An opportunity for celebration, but also the perfect day for studying.
The air smelled of old books, which calmed Mateja as she was obsessed with getting good grades.
Na mizi so ležale odprte učbenike in zapiski.
Open textbooks and notes lay on the table.
Mateja was full of energy, determined to make their history project shine.
Yet her secret fear, that she might not be good enough, still smoldered within her.
Nejc je sedel na naslanjaču, običajno sproščen, a danes nemiren.
Nejc sat in an armchair, usually relaxed but today restless.
Štipendija je visela na nitki.
His scholarship hung by a thread.
Od tega je bila odvisna njegova prihodnost.
His future depended on it.
Bojan je bil nov v skupini.
Bojan was new to the group.
Želel je prispevati, a njegova plašnost ga je ovirala.
He wanted to contribute, but his shyness held him back.
Mateja wanted to assign tasks so that each could contribute to the project with their strengths.
Predlagala je: "Nejc, ti se posveti statistikam in analizam.
She suggested, "Nejc, you focus on the statistics and analysis.
Bojan, ti pripravi vizualno predstavitev.
Bojan, you prepare the visual presentation."
" Vsi so prikimali.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
But as they worked, she felt something was off.
Nejc was quieter than usual, his eyes darting from the book to empty space.
Mateja je odložila svoje zapiske.
Mateja put down her notes.
"Pogovorimo se," je rekla, "Kaj nas skrbi?
"Let's talk," she said, "What concerns us?"
" Bila je sama presenečena nad svojo odprtostjo.
She was surprised by her own openness.
Several moments of silence stretched out, then Nejc took a deep breath: "I'm scared of the future.
Kaj, če ne uspem?
What if I don't succeed?"
Bojan clenched his fist and mustered courage: "I find it hard to speak in front of everyone, but I want to help."
Mateja realized that everyone in the group needed a sense of safety and trust.
Sklenili so: "Vsak naj sledi svojim močnim stranem.
They concluded: "Let each follow their strengths.
Podprimo se.
Let's support each other."
Mateja realized that leadership was more than just control.
Je sodelovanje, skrb za druge.
It is cooperation, caring for others.
S sestankom so končali z lahkotnejšim srcem in jasnim načrtom.
They ended the meeting with lighter hearts and a clear plan.
The autumn day gently accompanied their way out of the library.
Gregorijeva ulica surrounded them with the hum of traffic, and a few people drifted into city cafes.
Group work wasn't always easy, but it brought them newfound trust.
Slowly, they parted with laughter, determined to succeed.
