Ob njem sta bila Ana in Miha.

Ana je imela iskrico v očeh in nasmeh na ustnicah.

"Matej, vem, da zmoreš," mu je rekla spodbujajoče.

"Matej, I know you can do it," she said encouragingly.

Miha pa je rahlo zaskrbljeno pogledoval proti oblakom.

Miha, however, was glancing slightly worriedly towards the clouds.

"Paziti moramo, vreme je lahko nepredvidljivo," je opozoril.

"We have to be careful; the weather can be unpredictable," he warned.

Matej je želel dokazati, da lahko vodi skupino do vrha težke poti.

Matej wanted to prove that he could lead the group to the top of the challenging path.

Želel je premagati svoje dvome.

He wanted to overcome his doubts.

Pot je bila strma, polna korenin in kamenja.

The path was steep, full of roots and stones.

Ana je skakala čez ovire, kot da bi bila del gorskega sveta.

Ana was jumping over obstacles as if she were part of the mountain world.

Miha je hodil previdno, pogosto se je ustavil, da bi pogledal zemljevid.

Miha walked cautiously, often stopping to look at the map.

Ana ga je pogosto bodrila s smehom in spodbudnimi besedami.

Ana often encouraged him with laughter and motivating words.

Višje kot so šli, bolj je bil prepričan, da so na pravi poti.

The higher they went, the more certain he was that they were on the right path.

Vsakič ko je zagrmel grmenje, je Miha zadržal dih, a Matej ga je opogumljal.

Every time thunder rumbled, Miha held his breath, but Matej encouraged him.

Končno so prišli do vrha.

Finally, they reached the top.

Tam je bila prelepa razgledna točka.

Lahko so videli doline, reke in zelene gozdove.

Dežne kaplje so začele polzeti po njihovih obrazih, ko so se vračali po poti.

The Alps were still there, mighty and beautiful, and Matej knew he had discovered something new about himself in them.
