"Matevž!"

« Anjin glas ga zdrami iz premišljevanja.

Anja's voice snaps him out of his thoughts.

Ona in Gregor stojita ob njem, v toplih plaščih, pripravljena na pustolovščino.

She and Gregor stand beside him, dressed in warm coats, ready for an adventure.

»Ste resni glede tega?

"Are you serious about this?"

« vpraša Gregor skeptično.

asks Gregor skeptically.

»Seveda,« odgovori Matevž.

"Of course," Matevž replies.

»Moramo ugotoviti, od kod prihaja ta svetloba.

"We need to find out where that light is coming from.

Danes so pogoji najboljši, ker je svetloba najsvetlejša na Valentinovo.

Today is the best day because the light is brightest on Valentine's Day."

«Ko se noč spušča, se odpravijo na jezero.

As night falls, they head onto the lake.

Leden veter piha okoli njih, a jih ne ustavi.

The icy wind blows around them, but it doesn't stop them.

Gregor nosi svetilko, Anja pa termovko s toplim čajem.

Gregor carries a flashlight, while Anja has a thermos with hot tea.

Matevž vodi pot s kartami v rokah.

Matevž leads the way with maps in hand.

Ko dosežejo središče jezera, se ustavijo na debeli ledu.

When they reach the center of the lake, they stop on the thick ice.

Kmalu opazijo svetlobo, ki jo vidijo skozi ledeno ploskev.

Soon they notice the light, visible through the icy surface.

Bleščeča in skrivnostna.

Shimmering and mysterious.

»Poglejte,« zašepeta Anja.

"Look," whispers Anja.

»Tam je.

"There it is."

«Matevž, kljubiri opozorilom, se spusti na kolena.

Matevž, despite warnings, drops to his knees.

»Moramo biti pazljivi, a moramo se približati,« reče.

"We must be careful, but we need to get closer," he says.

Led nevarno poka in odpira razpoke.

The ice ominously cracks and opens crevices.

Srce bije hitreje vsem trem.

All three hearts beat faster.

Gregor in Anja se zadržujeta malo bolj zadaj, pripravljena pomagati Matevžu, če bo potrebno.

Gregor and Anja hold back a little, ready to help Matevž if needed.

Svetloba je vedno močnejša.

The light grows stronger.

Matevž pritisne obraz bližje ledu in zagleda obris nečesa.

Matevž presses his face closer to the ice and sees the outline of something.

»To je… relikvija,« razloži, glas mu trepeče od vznemirjenja.

"It's... a relic," he explains, his voice trembling with excitement.

»Kako jo bomo izvlekli?

"How will we get it out?"

« vpraša Anja.

asks Anja.

Po pazljivem načrtovanju uspejo s skupnimi močmi previdno izvleči starodavno relikvijo iz ledu.

After careful planning, they manage with combined efforts to cautiously extract the ancient relic from the ice.

Z daljnogledom opazijo nekaj izrezljanega, podobno simbolu, ki so ga našli v starodavnih knjigah.

With a telescope, they notice something carved, similar to a symbol they found in ancient books.

Legenda je resnična.

The legend is true.

Ko se previdno vrnejo na trden teren, je Matevž prežet z novo energijo.

When they carefully return to solid ground, Matevž is filled with new energy.

Gregor in Anja se smejeta, srečni, da so bili del tega odkritja.

Gregor and Anja laugh, happy to have been part of this discovery.

»Rekel sem vam, da svetloba ni le legenda,« ponosno izgovori Matevž.

"I told you the light wasn't just a legend," Matevž proudly declares.

Ob vrnitvi delijo svoje odkritje s kolegi, ki jih sprva niso jemali resno.

Upon returning, they share their discovery with colleagues who initially didn't take them seriously.

Matevžev pogum in odločnost pridobita spoštovanje vseh.

Matevž's courage and determination earn him everyone's respect.

Z Anjo in Gregorjem ga povezuje nova vez prijateljstva, ki se je rodila iz skupne avanture.
