Matej je hodil po zasneženih ulicah Trnovega, kjer je sapa risala bele oblake v hladnem zimskem zraku.

Matej walked through the snowy streets of Trnovo, where his breath drew white clouds in the cold winter air.

Bil je prvi dan novega leta, in v zraku je bila posebna energija, sveža kot sneg, ki je prekrival ljubljanske strehe.

It was the first day of the new year, and there was a special energy in the air, fresh like the snow covering the roofs of Ljubljana.

Matej je bil znan po svojem smislu za humor in danes je imel poseben cilj - najti najbolj zabavno resolucijo za novoletni pano v parku.

Matej was known for his sense of humor, and today he had a special goal - to find the funniest resolution for the New Year's board in the park.

Ko je prišel do parka, je zagledal Ano in Miha, kako se smejita pred panojem, kjer so viseli listi z najrazličnejšimi resolucijami.

When he arrived at the park, he saw Ana and Miha, laughing in front of the board adorned with various resolutions.

"Letos bom postal vegan, ampak samo ob sredah," je pisalo na enem listu.

"This year, I will become a vegan, but only on Wednesdays," read one note.

"Naučil se bom igrati harmoniko z nogami," se je zabeležil nekdo drug.

"I will learn to play the accordion with my feet," someone else noted.

Matej se je nasmejal, a ko je prišel do konca vrste, je opazil, da mu zmanjkuje idej.

Matej chuckled, but when he reached the end of the line, he noticed he was running out of ideas.

"Vse najboljše so že tu!

"All the best ones are already here!"

Ana je dvignila pogled in ga podražila: "Pa saj si vedno poln norih idej, Matej!

Miha, who was smiling next to her, added, "Yeah, but maybe we can help you this year."

"Tri glave so boljše kot ena, to je Matej dobro vedel.

Three heads are better than one, Matej knew this well.

Skupaj so se usedli na bližnjo klopco in začeli razmišljati.

Together they sat on a nearby bench and began brainstorming.

Toda tudi tri glave niso našle nič dovolj vznemirljivega.

Yet, even three heads couldn't come up with anything exciting enough.

Potem je Miha predlagal: "Kaj pa, če bi uporabili kakšno staro zgodbo iz soseske?

Then Miha suggested, "What if we use some old story from the neighborhood?"

"Ta misel je bila kot svetla iskrica.

This thought was like a bright spark.

Hitro so se odpravili do knjižice, ki jo je hranil v svojem nahrbtniku.

They quickly went to the little book that Matej kept in his backpack.

Bila je stara, popisana z zgodbami in trači o ljudeh iz Trnovega.

It was old, filled with stories and gossip about people from Trnovo.

Med prebiranjem strani so se valjali od smeha, zlasti ob tisti o sosedu, ki je nekoč iskal izgubljene ključe, ko so mu pravzaprav viseli okrog vratu.

As they read through the pages, they rolled with laughter, especially at the one about a neighbor who once searched for his lost keys while they were actually hanging around his neck.

"Uganimo, da je to," je rekel Matej z lesketajočim nasmehom.

"Let’s take that one," said Matej with a gleaming smile.

"Naredimo lov za zakladom, temelječ na teh zgodbah!

"Let’s do a treasure hunt based on these stories!"

" In tako so skupaj oblikovali novo resolucijo: "Letos bomo organizirali največji lov na zaklad, temelječ na starih skrivnostih Trnovega!

And so they formed a new resolution together: "This year, we will organize the biggest treasure hunt based on the old secrets of Trnovo!"

"Ko so zapisali resolucijo in jo ponosno pribili na pano, je Mateju srce igralo od zadovoljstva.

When they wrote down the resolution and proudly pinned it to the board, Matej’s heart was playing with satisfaction.

Ana in Miha sta se hihitala in kljub hladnemu vetru čutili toplino prijateljstva.

Ana and Miha giggled and, despite the cold wind, felt the warmth of friendship.

Njihova resolucija je hitro postala predmet pogovorov in prinesla soseski nešteto smeha.

Their resolution quickly became the talk of the neighborhood and brought countless laughter to the community.

Ob tem pa so se spletle tudi nove vezi med sosedi, ki si prej niso izmenjali niti pogleda.

New bonds were also formed among neighbors who previously hadn’t exchanged a glance.

Matej je na poti domov pomislil, kako je humor resnično najboljše zdravilo, še posebej v dobri družbi.

On his way home, Matej thought about how humor is truly the best medicine, especially in good company.

Novo leto se je začelo veliko bolje, kot si je kdajkoli lahko zamislil, in vedel je, da je našel nove prijatelje v Anji in Mihi - in v njih še en krog smeha.

The new year had begun much better than he could have ever imagined, and he knew he had found new friends in Ana and Miha - and with them, another circle of laughter.
