Tomaž was leaning against the windowsill, gazing at the mountains rising in the distance behind the dormitory in the Julian Alps.

  • Pogledi so bili čudoviti, a Tomaž je ostal zamišljen.

The views were magnificent, but Tomaž remained pensive.

His mind wandered elsewhere, to friends he didn't have.

He knew that such an opportunity for connection wouldn't last forever.

  • Želel si je biti del skupine.

He wished to be part of a group.

When he noticed the first snowflake, autumn was in full swing.

  • Sneg se je hitro nabiral.

    The snow quickly accumulated.

Students had come for a field study of nature, but now they were caught in a snowstorm.

  • Jana in Matej sta sedela v skupnem prostoru, zaskrbljena zaradi vremenske napovedi.

Jana and Matej were sitting in the common room, worried about the weather forecast.

  • "Kaj bomo zdaj?

"What are we going to do now?"

  • " je vprašala Jana.

    Jana asked.

  • "Nihče ni pripravljen na tole.

"No one is prepared for this."

Tomaž sighed and struggled to overcome his shyness.

He approached them and said, "Maybe we can do some fun activity together."

  • " Oba sta ga začudeno pogledala.

They both looked at him in surprise.

  • "Kaj imaš v mislih, Tomaž?

"What do you have in mind, Tomaž?"

  • " je vprašal Matej s kančkom zanimanja v glasu.

asked Matej with a hint of interest in his voice.

"I think we can organize games in here," Tomaž said.

"We could play board games, make a fun quiz, or share stories."

  • "Ideja se je hitro širila med študenti.

The idea quickly spread among the students.

  • Kmalu so vsi sodelovali.

    Soon everyone was participating.

Tomaž organized a quiz and prepared questions about the history and nature of the Alps.

  • Učenje in zabava sta prepletla prostor z veseljem in smehom.

Learning and fun intertwined the room with joy and laughter.

They exchanged stories about their best holiday adventures, and one by one they realized they had more in common than they thought.

  • Srečanje je trajalo nekaj ur.

The gathering lasted for several hours.

  • Smeh in povezanost sta pregnala občutke panike.

Laughter and connection dispelled feelings of panic.

  • Tomaž je gledal svoje sošolce in končno začutil občutek pripadnosti.

Tomaž watched his classmates and finally felt a sense of belonging.

  • Nevihta je sicer še vedno divjala zunaj, a v srcu je bil mir.

The storm was still raging outside, but in his heart, there was peace.

  • Kmalu je sneg začel popuščati.

Soon the snow began to let up.

The sun shyly peeked out from behind the clouds.

When the storm passed, the students stepped outside to admire the snowy landscape.

Walking back to the dorm, Tomaž smiled at Jana and Matej, who walked beside him.

  • Bil je ponosen.

    He was proud.

  • Prvič je vedel, da pripada.

For the first time, he knew he belonged.

Tomaž realized that his shyness was still part of him, but now he knew he could overcome the fear.

With new friendships and self-confidence, he felt a new chapter in life awaited him.

  • Šola je bila še vedno tu, vznožje gora še vedno ponujalo skrivnosti za raziskovanje, a zdaj so jih ti raziskovali skupaj.

The school was still there, the foothills of the mountains still offering mysteries to explore, but now they were exploring them together.
