Matevž in Nina sta stala pred veličastnim Ljubljanskim gradom.
Matevž and Nina stood in front of the magnificent Ljubljanski grad.
Veter je premikal pisane liste.
The wind was moving the colorful leaves.
Matevž je globoko vdihnil in pogledal proti vratom.
Matevž took a deep breath and looked towards the door.
"Nina, tole je resna zadeva.
"Nina, this is a serious matter.
Nekdo je ukradel babičin prstan," je zaskrbljeno rekel.
Someone has stolen grandma's ring," he said worriedly.
Nina ga je pogledala.
Nina looked at him.
"Matevž, ne skrbi.
"Matevž, don't worry.
Najprej gremo v pisarno za obiskovalce.
First, we'll go to the visitor's office.
Morava povedati o kraji," je rekla pogumno.
We have to report the theft," she said bravely.
The tour of the castle started at ten in the morning.
Poln navdušenja je Matevž občudoval starodavne stene in viteške oklepe.
Filled with enthusiasm, Matevž admired the ancient walls and knightly armors.
Občutek zgodovine je bil neverjeten.
The sense of history was incredible.
But when he took the ring out of his pocket to show Nina, his joy was gone.
Prstan je izginil.
The ring had disappeared.
Matevž se je počutil krivega.
Matevž felt guilty.
Kako je lahko izgubil tako dragoceno stvar?
How could he have lost such a precious thing?
"Ne morem verjeti, da se je to zgodilo," je zamrmral.
"I can't believe this happened," he muttered.
Nina, always ready for action, quickly pulled him by the sleeve.
"Gremo, Matevž.
"Let's go, Matevž.
Prstan bomo dobili nazaj," ga je bodrila.
We'll get the ring back," she encouraged him.
Privlačna gotska vrata so se odprla in hladen vetrič je obkrožil hodnike.
The attractive Gothic doors opened, and a cold breeze surrounded the corridors.
Na hodniku so našla pisarno.
In the hallway, they found the office.
A zaposlenih je bilo malo in vsi so bili zaposleni.
But there were few staff, and everyone was busy.
"Nina, mogoče bi morali priti pozneje," je dekle previdno predlagal Matevž.
"Nina, maybe we should come back later," Matevž cautiously suggested.
A ona se ni dala.
But she wouldn't give in.
"Ne, zdaj greva naprej," je odločno rekla.
"No, we're going ahead now," she said firmly.
Nato sta stopila do upravnike pisarne.
Then they approached the office manager.
"Oprostite, nekdo je ukradel prstan med turo," je Matevž nervozno postal.
"Excuse me, someone stole a ring during the tour," Matevž nervously began.
Upravnik je pogledal Matevža čez očala.
The manager looked at Matevž over his glasses.
"Bi lahko opisali prstan?
"Could you describe the ring?"
" je vprašal ravnodušno.
he asked indifferently.
Matevž si je zbral misli.
Matevž gathered his thoughts.
Opisal je prstan: zlat z modrim safirjem.
He described the ring: gold with a blue sapphire.
His grandmother had given it to him on his last birthday.
"Prosim, to je zelo pomembno," je dodal s tresočim glasom.
"Please, it's very important," he added with a shaking voice.
Upravnik je tokrat zaznal nujnost.
The manager this time sensed the urgency.
"Seveda, preverili bomo CCTV posnetke," je obljubil.
"Of course, we'll check the CCTV footage," he promised.
Nekaj trenutkov napetega čakanja je mimo.
A few moments of tense waiting passed.
Matevž in Nina sta stala ob starem zidovju gradu, prisluhnila listju in mestnemu vrvežu spodaj.
Matevž and Nina stood by the ancient castle walls, listening to the leaves and the hustle and bustle of the city below.
Then the manager returned with a yellow envelope.
"Naše varnostno osebje je našlo storilca.
"Our security staff found the culprit.
Ukradena stvar je zdaj v varstvu," je povedal in izročil prstan Matevžu.
The stolen item is now safe," he said and handed the ring to Matevž.
Matevž je olajšano izdihnil.
Matevž exhaled in relief.
"Hvala, resnično hvala," je ponovil večkrat.
"Thank you, truly thank you," he repeated several times.
Nina se je nasmehnila.
Nina smiled.
"Vidiš, Matevž, skupaj zmoreva vse.
"You see, Matevž, together we can do anything."
"Matevž je pogledal prstan v svojih rokah.
Matevž looked at the ring in his hands.
Začel se je smešiti.
He began to smile.
"Mislim, da imaš prav.
"I think you're right.
It's time I become more confident," he admitted.
Autumn was wrapping Ljubljana in warm colors, and despite the theft, Matevž and Nina left the castle with a new experience.
The Ljubljanski grad would always be a symbol for them not only of history but also of courage and friendship.
