  • Pod svetlim pomladnim nebom so cvetovi češenj padali kot snežinke.

Under the bright spring sky, the cherry blossoms fell like snowflakes.

  • Anže in Tjaša sta stala na obali Blejskega jezera in gledala proti otoku.

Anže and Tjaša stood on the shore of Blejski Lake, looking towards the island.

The day was beautiful, and they enjoyed listening to the lapping of the water.

But the tranquility of the moment was interrupted by the buzzing of their thoughts about the family gathering that awaited them.

  • Anže je bil tih in vedno razumen.

Anže was quiet and always sensible.

  • Ljubil je svojo družino, a pogosto si je želel neodvisnost.

He loved his family, but often desired independence.

  • Zanj so bile stvari jasne.

    Things were clear to him.

He just wanted a peaceful trip to Blejsko Lake, but family drama always found its way to him.

Tjaša, his cousin, was his complete opposite.

She was loud, always ready for new adventures.

She didn’t care for family traditions – she wanted freedom.

  • Ko sta hodila ob jezeru, je Anže rekel: "Tjaša, danes si želim samo miren dan.

As they walked by the lake, Anže said, "Tjaša, today I just want a peaceful day."

  • ""Okej," mu je odgovorila ona.

    "Okay," she replied.

  • "Ampak iskreno, ali želiš to?

"But honestly, do you really want that?"

Anže didn’t answer, but he knew that Tjaša sensed his true desire.

  • Želel je več.

    He wanted more.

  • Želel je povedati svojo resnico družini.

He wanted to tell his truth to the family.

Lunch at Blejski Castle was anything but peaceful.

  • Družinske pričakovanja in opombe so visele v zraku kot težki oblaki.

Family expectations and comments hung in the air like heavy clouds.

  • Anže je tiho sedel, gledal v krožnik in čutil, kako rase napetost.

Anže sat quietly, looking at his plate and feeling the tension grow.

  • Nenadoma je Tjaša vstala.

    Suddenly, Tjaša stood up.

  • "Dovolj je," je rekla glasno.

    "Enough," she said loudly.

  • "Anže ima nekaj, kar želi povedati.

"Anže has something he wants to say."

  • "Vsi so utihnili in pogledali Anžeta.

Everyone fell silent and looked at Anže.

His heart beat quickly, but he felt Tjaša's support, which was like a warm breeze at his back.

"I don’t want to just sit and nod anymore," he said with a trembling voice.

  • "Želim biti neodvisen.

    "I want to be independent.

  • Želim svoja pravila.

    I want my own rules."

  • "V prostoru je nastala tišina.

    The room fell silent.

  • Nekateri so se počasi začeli nasmihati, drugi zavijati z očmi.

Some slowly began to smile, others rolled their eyes.

But what mattered was that Anže had spoken.

The afternoon drew to a close, and the sun began to set.

Anže and Tjaša headed back to the lake, where a small boat awaited them.

  • Sedla sta vanj in počasi odveslala stran od obale.

They sat in it and slowly rowed away from the shore.

"I think you're on the right path," said Tjaša, looking at the Blejski island bathed in the last rays of the sun.

  • "Ja," je pritrdil Anže.

    "Yeah," Anže agreed.

  • "Hvala, ker si mi pomagala biti pogumen.

"Thank you for helping me be brave."

They sat in the boat and gazed at the blue expanse surrounding them.

They understood that the lake would always offer them refuge and a place for reflection.

And so, they decided that from now on, they would support each other on their journeys to freedom and independence.
