The sun shone brightly over the ruins of hrad Devín.

Vánok z Dunaja a Moravy rozvíril listy stromov v okolí.

A breeze from the Dunaj and Morava rivers stirred the leaves of the surrounding trees.

Viktor stál na vrchu kopca a pozrel sa dolu na staré kamene, ktoré kedysi boli pevnou stenou hradu.

Viktor stood on top of the hill and looked down at the ancient stones that once formed the castle's solid walls.

"Jana, toto miesto skrýva tajomstvá.

"Jana, this place holds secrets.

Som si istý, že nájdeme tú skrytú komnatu," povedal nadšene Viktor.

I'm sure we will find that hidden chamber," Viktor said enthusiastically.

Jana si upravila klobúk, aby jej chránil tvár pred slnkom.

Jana adjusted her hat to shield her face from the sun.

"Viktor, tieto ruiny sú veľmi krehké.

"Viktor, these ruins are very fragile.

Musíme byť opatrní," pripomínala.

We have to be careful," she reminded.

Bála sa, že nadmerná horlivosť privedie tím do nebezpečenstva.

She was afraid that excessive enthusiasm would lead the team into danger.

"Nemáme ani presvedčivý dôkaz, že tam niečo je.

"We don't even have conclusive evidence that anything is there."

"Viktor bol však presvedčený o svojej teórii.

However, Viktor was convinced of his theory.

"Toto je naša posledná možnosť, než sa tento priestor uzavrie pre konzervačné práce," naliehal.

"This is our last chance before this area is closed for conservation work," he urged.

A tak sa rozhodli pokračovať, aj keď Jana s tým úplne nesúhlasila.

And so they decided to continue, even though Jana was not entirely in agreement.

Začali kopať opatrne, každý úder lopaty bol ako nádej na odhalenie minulosti.

They began digging cautiously, each shovel strike a hope to uncover the past.

Ale keď sa blížili k údajnej komnate, zem sa začala chvieť.

But as they approached the alleged chamber, the ground started to tremble.

Staré múry hradu sa im začali sypať pod nohami.

The ancient castle walls began to crumble beneath their feet.

Jana vykřikla, "Viktor, ustupme!

Jana shouted, "Viktor, let's back off!

Toto sa môže každú chvíľu zrútiť!

This can collapse any moment!"

" Rýchlo sa stiahli, kým sa prach a kúsky kameňa uvoľňovali z rozpadávajúcich sa múrov.

They quickly retreated as dust and bits of stone released from the crumbling walls.

Keď sa prach usadil, Viktor a Jana stáli v tichu, toporne dýchajúc.

When the dust settled, Viktor and Jana stood in silence, breathing heavily.

"Nemôžem uveriť, že sme to riskovali," priznal Viktor so sklopenými očami.

"I can't believe we risked it," admitted Viktor, lowering his eyes.

"No, nie všetko je stratené.

"Well, not all is lost.

Pozri tam," ukázala Jana smerom k tmavému otvoru, ktorý sa odhalil v zmiešanine kamenia.

Look there," Jana pointed towards a dark opening revealed amidst the scattered stones.

Nevyzeralo to ako komnata, ale možno ako prístup k niečomu ešte neobjavenému.

It didn't look like a chamber, but perhaps an access to something yet undiscovered.

"Možno sme našli niečo ešte dôležitejšie," povedal pokojne Viktor.

"Maybe we've found something even more important," Viktor said calmly.

Prestal sa hnať.

He stopped rushing.

"Počkáme do budúceho leta, urobíme to správne.

"We'll wait until next summer and do it properly."

"Jana sa usmiala a prikývla.

Jana smiled and nodded.

"Správne.

"Right.

Bude treba dobre premyslieť, ako sa do toho pustíme, ale myslím, že sa to môže vyplatiť.

We’ll need to carefully consider how to approach this, but I think it could pay off."

"Obaja sa otočili smerom k západu slnka, jeho posledné lúče osvetľovali rímsy Devína, kde ešte mnohé príbehy čakali na svoje objavenie.

Both turned toward the sunset, its last rays illuminating the cornices of Devín, where many stories awaited their unveiling.

Viktor sa naučil, že niekedy je lepšie ísť pomaly a s rozvahou, a Jana objavila, že niektoré riziká stoja za to, aby sa podstúpili, pokiaľ je tam šanca na nový objav.

Viktor learned that sometimes it's better to proceed slowly and thoughtfully, and Jana discovered that some risks are worth taking if there's a chance for a new discovery.

A tak sa vrátili k táboru, pripravení naplánovať budúce výpravy s ešte väčším odhodlaním a opatrnosťou.

And so they returned to the camp, ready to plan future expeditions with even more determination and caution.
