Bola jar a ulice mesta boli plné zelene a kvetov.

It was spring and the streets of the city were full of greenery and flowers.

Na chvíľu zaváhal.

"Bude to tak, ako to bývalo?" pomyslel si.

Vo vzduchu sa vznášala vôňa čerstvo praženej kávy a staré drevené stoly vnútri vyžarovali útulnosť.

Marek si spomenul, ako tu sedával s Janou a Petrom počas univerzitných rokov, smiali sa a plánovali svet.

Marek remembered how he used to sit here with Jana and Peter during university years, laughing and planning the world.

Vošiel a našiel voľný stôl pri okne.

„Marek, je to už dlho,“ povedala Jana a jej oči žiarili pri pohľade na neho.

"Marek, it's been a long time," said Jana, her eyes gleaming as she looked at him.

„Áno, som rád, že ste prišli,“ odpovedal Marek s obchodom.

"Yes, I'm glad you came," Marek responded with sincerity.

Objednali si kávu, ako to bývalo zvykom.

They ordered coffee, as was their custom.

O chvíľu na nich dýchol čas cez šálky plné espressa.

In a moment, time breathed on them through cups full of espresso.

Začali sa rozprávať.

They began to talk.

Najskôr o práci, o živote.

At first about work, about life.

Všetko pôsobilo formálne, opatrne.

Everything seemed formal, cautious.

Ale potom, ako sa ruka prestala triasť a hlas zosilnel, sa zas dotkli tém, ktoré ich kedysi spájali.

But then, as the hand stopped trembling and the voice strengthened, they touched upon topics that once connected them.

„Marek, prečo si odišiel?“ opýtal sa Peter priamo, čo Mareka prekvapilo.

"Marek, why did you leave?" Peter asked directly, surprising Marek.

„Musel som... Skúsiť niečo nové. Ale teraz viem, že to nie je všetko,“ priznal Marek úprimne.

"I had to... try something new. But now I know it's not everything," admitted Marek honestly.

Zdá sa, že ich rozhovor začal naberať na intenzite.

It seemed their conversation began to gain intensity.

Jana sa pridala: „Vieš, bolo to zvláštne, keď si len tak zmizol.

Jana joined in: "You know, it was strange when you just disappeared.

Chýbal si nám.

We missed you.

Ale všetci sa meníme.“

But we all change."

Marek na chvíľu zotrval v tichu.

Marek remained silent for a moment.

Cítil, že to bol ten bod, kedy musel sám sebe aj im priznať pravdu.

He felt that this was the point when he had to admit the truth to himself and to them.

„Potrebujem vás.

"I need you.

Chcem znovu byť súčasťou niečoho, čo som opustil.“

I want to be part of something again that I left behind."

Atmosféra sa uvoľnila.

The atmosphere relaxed.

Napätie sa rozplynulo ako dym z kávy.

The tension dissolved like the steam from coffee.

Rozhodli sa, že nezáleží na tom, kde boli alebo kam idú.

They decided it didn't matter where they had been or where they were going.

Dôležité bolo, že sa našli.

The important thing was that they had found each other.

„Stretnime sa tu znovu.

"Let's meet here again.

Môžeme znova začať tam, kde sme skončili,“ navrhol Peter a všetci súhlasili.

We can start where we left off," Peter suggested, and they all agreed.

Jar priniesla nový začiatok.

Spring brought a new beginning.

Priatelia sľúbili, že sa budú stretávať častejšie.

The friends promised to meet more often.

Uvedomili si, že čas a vzdialenosť nevygumujú priateľstvo.
