The scent of spring flowers wafted through the Bratislavskej botanickej záhrade (Bratislava Botanical Garden).
Tatiana sa prechádzala ochotne medzi kvetmi a priateľmi.
Tatiana strolled eagerly among the flowers and friends.
Vedľa nej kráčal Miroslav, ktorý mal vždy pripravený sarkastický komentár.
Next to her walked Miroslav, who always had a sarcastic comment ready.
"Tatiana, vážne veríš tomu, že sa môžeš rozprávať s rastlinami?
"Tatiana, do you really believe you can talk to plants?"
" spýtal sa Miroslav, tváril sa skepticky.
Miroslav asked, looking skeptical.
Tatiana sa usmiala, poháňa ju nová predstava.
Tatiana smiled, driven by a new idea.
"Áno, Miroslav!
"Yes, Miroslav!
Dnes ti to ukážem, a ukážem to každému," povedala odhodlane.
Today I'll show you, and I'll show everyone," she said determinedly.
Okolo prešiel Jozef, ktorý si spokojne vychutnával krásy záhrady bez väčších starostí.
Jozef, who was contentedly enjoying the beauty of the garden without much worry, passed by.
Počul kratučký úryvok rozhovoru, no nepripisoval mu význam.
He heard a snippet of the conversation but didn't give it much thought.
Tatiana zastavila pri mohutnom dube, starom stáročia.
Tatiana stopped by a massive oak, centuries old.
Okolo sa zhromaždili návštevníci záhrady, zaujatí jej sebavedomím.
Garden visitors gathered around, intrigued by her confidence.
"Pozrite sa, teraz ukážem, ako sa dokážem rozprávať s týmto pôsobivým stromom," vyhlásila.
"Watch this, I'll show you how I can talk to this impressive tree," she declared.
Položila ruku na drsnú kôru a zašepkala niekoľko nejasných slov.
She placed her hand on the rough bark and whispered a few indistinct words.
Nastalo ticho.
Silence followed.
Vánok sa utišili, vtáky prestali spievať.
The breeze calmed, the birds stopped singing.
Všetci čakali.
Everyone waited.
Miroslav looked on tensely beside her, a glint of betrayal but also curiosity in his eyes.
Tatiana continued, but the oak remained silent, as trees tend to do.
Po chvíli sa ozval hlasný smiech.
After a moment, boisterous laughter erupted.
It was more a nervous reaction from people who suddenly felt less tense.
Jozef, who had wandered closer, oblivious to the situation, cheerfully remarked: "That's precisely the oak that people say has been growing here for hundreds of years."
" Dodal s úsmevom: "Hovorí sa, že bol zasadený, keď Bratislava ešte nebola hlavným mestom.
He added with a smile, "It's said it was planted when Bratislava wasn't even the capital yet.
Maybe that's why it says nothing, it's too old to bother with such things."
"Každý sa zasmial.
Everyone laughed.
Tatiana sklonila hlavu, trocha zahambená, no usmiala sa tiež.
Tatiana lowered her head, a bit embarrassed, but she smiled too.
Miroslav ju jemne chytil za rameno.
Miroslav gently tapped her on the shoulder.
"V poriadku, Tatiana.
"It's okay, Tatiana.
I think you can have a chat with your teachers about botany without me," he said softly.
Tatiana pochopila, že naozajstná znalosť pramení z učenia a skúseností, nie z imaginárnych schopností.
Tatiana understood that true knowledge comes from learning and experience, not imaginary abilities.
She walked away with Miroslav, while Jozef continued on his path, ignoring the commotion he had just caused.
Záhrada opäť naplnila ticho sveta, kde každý môže nájsť svoju jarnú kapitolu poznania, ku ktorej sa tvorí dlhá a krásna cesta, nie skratka.
The garden once again filled with the world's silence, where everyone can find their spring chapter of knowledge, to which there is a long and beautiful path, not a shortcut.
