Dávid stál na námestí plnom pestrofarebných stánkov.

Dávid stood in the square full of colorful stalls.

Stánky plné kvetov, malovaných vajíčok a tradičných slovenských remesiel.

Stalls filled with flowers, painted eggs, and traditional Slovak crafts.

Atmosféra bola živá, ľudia s úsmevom prechádzali medzi obchodníkmi, deti sa smiali a hrali sa s mašličkami priviazanými na prekrásne korbáče.

The atmosphere was lively, people with smiles walked among the vendors, children laughed and played with ribbons tied to beautiful willow whips.

Ale Dávid sa necítil tak veselo.

But Dávid didn't feel that cheerful.

Nedávno sa vrátil na Slovensko po niekoľkých rokoch štúdia v zahraničí.

He had recently returned to Slovakia after several years of studying abroad.

Už sa veľmi tešil na domov, ale situácia ho prekvapila.

He was very much looking forward to being home, but the situation surprised him.

Rodičia mali medzi sebou vážne spory o rodinný podnik a to zasiahlo aj jeho mladšiu sestru, Máriu.

His parents were having serious disputes over the family business, and this affected his younger sister, Mária.

Bola akási vzdialená, unavená, vždy nervózna.

She was somewhat distant, tired, always nervous.

Dávid sa rozhodol, že prianím na schôdzku na Veľkonočnom trhu priblíži Máriu viac, aspoň tak dúfal.

Dávid decided that by inviting Mária to a meeting at the Easter market, he might bring her closer, at least he hoped so.

"Mária, poď na trh, len my dvaja," presviedčal ju.

"Mária, come to the market, just the two of us," he persuaded her.

Keď nakoniec súhlasila, pocítil nádej.

When she finally agreed, he felt hope.

Na trhu prechádzali spoločne medzi stánkami, dávali si klobásy a kúštiky koláčikov.

At the market, they walked together among the stalls, having sausages and pieces of cakes.

Mali sa dobre, ale Dávid cítil, že je čas hovoriť o vážnych veciach.

They were having a good time, but Dávid felt it was time to talk about serious matters.

"Mária, musíme hovoriť o rodičoch a ich konflikte," začal opatrne.

"Mária, we need to talk about our parents and their conflict," he began cautiously.

Mária sa zastavila, jej tvár sa zmenila, výraz tvrdohlavosti a smútku jej zahalil oči.

Mária stopped, her face changed, an expression of stubbornness and sadness clouded her eyes.

Bola pripravená brániť svoje postoje.

She was ready to defend her stances.

"Ty si odisiel, nevidel si, čo sa tu dialo," odpovedala Mária.

"You left, you didn't see what was happening here," Mária replied.

Bola nahnevaná, ale i smutná.

She was angry, but also sad.

Dávid sa snažil pochopiť jej pocity, hoci sa mu to zdalo ťažké.

Dávid tried to understand her feelings, even though it seemed difficult to him.

Pokračovali v debate, zatiaľ čo ich obklopovali smiech a hlasy Veľkonočného trhu.

They continued their discussion, surrounded by the laughter and voices of the Easter market.

Mária konečne praskla.

Mária finally opened up.

"Mama sa cítila opustená, a ja som chcela len pomôcť," priznala.

"Mom felt abandoned, and I just wanted to help," she admitted.

Dávid prvýkrát pochopil hĺbku jej rozhodnutia stáť na určitej strane.

Dávid understood for the first time the depth of her decision to stand on a particular side.

Počas rozhovoru sa postupne začali viac rozumieť.

During the conversation, they gradually began to understand each other more.

"Nemôžeme toto rodinné napätie ignorovať.

"We can't ignore this family tension.

Musíme spolupracovať, aby sme veci dali do poriadku," navrhol Dávid.

We have to work together to set things right," Dávid suggested.

Mária súhlasila.

Mária agreed.

Boli síce dva rôzne názory, ale mali spoločný cieľ.

They had different opinions, but a common goal.

Na konci večera, obklopení svetlami a zvukmi trhu, Dávid a Mária stáli spolu v tichosti.

At the end of the evening, surrounded by the lights and sounds of the market, Dávid and Mária stood together in silence.

Jasne pochopili, že ich vzťah je dôležitý bez ohľadu na rodinné problémy.

They clearly understood that their relationship is important regardless of the family issues.

Zostalo ešte veľa práce, ale prvý krok urobili.

There was still a lot of work left, but they had taken the first step.

Keď sa lúčili s trhom a mierili domov, obaja vedeli, že cesta k zmiereniu rodiny nebude ľahká.

As they bid farewell to the market and headed home, they both knew that the path to family reconciliation wouldn't be easy.

Ale boli pripravení.

But they were ready.

Spoločne.

Together.

Tak, ako vždy mala byť rodina.

As a family was always meant to be.
