Marek felt like he was on top of the world.

  • V kvetinárstve, kde pracoval, bolo plno kvetov.

In the flower shop where he worked, it was full of flowers.

  • Marek, nadšený, no nový v tejto práci, chcel urobiť na svoju šéfku Anku dojem.

Marek, excited but new to this job, wanted to impress his boss, Anka.

He also wanted to wow Jozef, who was his senior colleague.

The winter outside was chilly, but inside, it bloomed with colors.

  • Blížil sa Valentín, a to znamenalo množstvo zákazníkov, ktorí chceli krásne kytice pre svojich milovaných.

Valentine's Day was approaching, and that meant many customers who wanted beautiful bouquets for their loved ones.

  • Marek dostal úlohu vyrobiť niečo špeciálne.

Marek was tasked with creating something special.

He looked at a bag of seeds, which he thought were roses.

  • V skutočnosti však vzal so sebou semená kaktusov.

In reality, however, he had grabbed cactus seeds.

  • Nebol čas na premýšľanie, cítil tlak zákazníkov, ktorí už čakali.

There was no time to think; he felt the pressure of the waiting customers.

He quickly planted the seeds, hoping everything would turn out well.

  • Keď semiačka začali klíčiť, môžeme to nazvať prekvapenie.

When the seeds began to sprout, we could call it a surprise.

  • Namiesto nežných ruží rástli tvrdé kaktusy.

Instead of tender roses, tough cactuses were growing.

  • Marek bol zničený.

    Marek was devastated.

  • Čo teraz?

    What now?

  • Najprv premýšľal, ako sa vyhne hanbe.

At first, he thought about how to avoid embarrassment.

  • Potom dostal nápad.

    Then he had an idea.

  • Prečo sa nezamyslieť nad niečím novým?

Why not think of something new?

  • Kaktus a ruža spoločne v jednej kytici.

A cactus and rose together in one bouquet.

  • S trémou Marek predstavil svoju aranžovanú kyticu Anke a čakajúcim zákazníkom.

With nerves, Marek presented his arranged bouquet to Anka and the waiting customers.

  • Srdce mu bilo rýchlo.

    His heart was beating fast.

  • Nastala chvíľa ticha a potom – smiech.

There was a moment of silence and then – laughter.

  • Anka zdvihla obočie, ale jej úsmev rýchlo nasledoval.

Anka raised an eyebrow, but her smile quickly followed. "

  • "Marek," povedala, "je to chytré a originálne!

Marek," she said, "it's clever and original!"

  • "A čo zákazníci?

    And what about the customers?

  • Smiechu sa pridali aj oni.

They joined in the laughter too.

  • V kvetoch kakuty a ruže videli niečo zaujímavého, a to niečo, čo si chceli zobrať domov.

In the cactus and rose flowers, they saw something interesting, something they wanted to take home.

  • Nečakaný výsledok sa stal hitom.

The unexpected result became a hit.

Marek understood that even when things go wrong, it doesn't mean the end.

  • Niekedy treba len zmeniť uhol pohľadu a dovoliť si byť kreatívny.

Sometimes you just need to change your perspective and allow yourself to be creative.

Anka praised him for his courage, and Marek was never afraid to make a mistake again.

He finally realized that every mistake could be the beginning of something new and wonderful.

So, even though it was winter outside, in the flower shop, Marek's heart was warm and full of joy.
