Вдруг, прямо за его спиной, показалась Анастаси́я — лучезарная, с лёгким ветерком в волосах и благоухающим шарфом на шее.

Suddenly, right behind him, Anastasia appeared—radiant, with a light breeze in her hair and a fragrant scarf around her neck.

Её энергия миссиони́ровала тёплый оптимизм.

Her energy radiated warm optimism.

— Привет, Никола́й! — воскликнула она, подхо́дя ближе и улыба́ясь так, что трудно было не ответить.

"Hello, Nikolai!" she exclaimed, coming closer and smiling in such a way that it was hard not to smile back.

— Привет, Анастаси́я! — ответил он как можно увереннее, но внутренне еще варил волну от легкого смущения.

"Hi, Anastasia!" he responded as confidently as he could, but internally he was still experiencing a wave of slight embarrassment.

Они пошли вдоль парковых пробируемых тропинок и вскоре подошли к месту, где разноцветные палатки и аттракционы ждут гостей фестиваля.

They walked along the park's winding paths and soon came to a place where colorful tents and attractions were waiting for the festival guests.

— Давай попробуем что-нибудь в палатке с традиционными сладостями? — предложила Анастаси́я, позже обратив внимание на одну из палаток.

"Let's try something from the tent with traditional sweets?" Anastasia suggested, later drawing attention to one of the tents.

— Конечно, почему бы и нет, — Никола́й слегка нервничал, ибо не был уверен в этих традициях и что от него ожидается, но он хотел разделить с ней этот момент.

"Of course, why not," Nikolai responded slightly nervously, as he was unsure of these traditions and what was expected of him, but he wanted to share this moment with her.

Взяв по паре пряников, они продолжили прогуляться к сцене, откуда звучала музыка.

After taking a couple of gingerbread cookies each, they continued to stroll towards the stage, from where the music was playing.

Настя объяснила ему о значении праздника, о дружбе и единстве людей.

Nastya explained to him the significance of the holiday, about friendship and unity among people.

Никола́й чувствовал, как его осторожность уступает искренней заинтересованности — она так легко говорила, он учился у неё незримой легкости бытия и открытости.

As the time was drawing to a close and the light began to fade, they got lost among the bright lanterns and the lingering laughter in the cooling air.

— Это была ты, что помогла мне увидеть все по-другому, — признался Никола́й, когда они находились по пути к выходу.

"It was you who helped me see everything differently," Nikolai confessed as they made their way to the exit.

— А ты сделал этот вечер особенным, — ответила она, искренне улыба́ясь.

"And you made this evening special," she replied, smiling sincerely.

Никола́й почувствовал, как его сердце заполнилась волнением и уверенностью.

Nikolai felt his heart fill with excitement and confidence.

Теперь он зна́л, что был готов к новым вызовам и опыта́м.

Now he knew he was ready for new challenges and experiences.

И на дремлющих аллеях парка, они покидали мерцающий свет увлечённого фестиваля, обязательно зная, что это только начало их путешествия друг к другу.

And on the slumbering alleys of the park, they left the shimmering light of the enchanting festival, knowing for sure that this was just the beginning of their journey towards each other.
