Nikolay sat down at a table by the window, took textbooks and a laptop out of his backpack.

He felt tense.

Внезапно в кофейню влетела Анна.

Suddenly, Anna burst into the coffee shop.

"Hi, Nikolay!

Готовишься к экзаменам?

Preparing for exams?"

— спросила она, сунув нос в его книги.

— Ты должен больше времени тратить на подготовку!

"You should spend more time preparing!"

— Да, Анна, я стараюсь, — ответил Николай, не поднимая глаз.

"Yes, Anna, I'm trying," Nikolay replied, without looking up.

Анна начала что-то объяснять о своих методах, как следует учиться, как важно читать конспекты каждый день.

Anna began explaining something about her methods, how to study properly, how important it was to read notes every day.

Через несколько минут присоединился Дмитрий.

After a few minutes, Dmitry joined them.

Он был полной противоположностью Анне — спокойный и расслабленный.

He was the complete opposite of Anna — calm and relaxed.

Он уселся рядом с ними с чашкой чая в руке.

He sat down with them with a cup of tea in his hand.

— О, снова учишься, Коля?

"Oh, studying again, Kolya?"

— спросил он, кивая на книги на столе.

he asked, nodding at the books on the table.

— Не волнуйся так, всё получится.

"Don't worry so much, everything will work out."

Слова Дмитрия всегда заставляли Николая задуматься, что, возможно, он излишне напрягается.

Dmitry's words always made Nikolay think that perhaps he was overexerting himself.

Дмитрий всегда выглядел уверенно, несмотря на свой ленивый подход.

Dmitry always appeared confident, despite his lazy approach.

Николай посмотрел на друзей и понял, что ни один метод не подходит полностью.

Nikolay looked at his friends and realized that neither method fit completely.

Anna drove him to exhaustion, while Dmitry relaxed him excessively.
