Ветер тихо шуршал листьями под ногами, когда Николай, Ирa и Виктор вошли в шумный магазин на окраине Москвы.

The wind quietly rustled the leaves underfoot as Nikolay, Ira, and Viktor entered a noisy store on the outskirts of Moscow.

Этой осенью Холод подкрадывался снаружи, но внутри магазина всё было залито ярким светом от ламп и весёлым обилием осенних овощей.

This autumn, the cold crept in from the outside, but inside the store, everything was bathed in bright light from the lamps and the cheerful abundance of autumn vegetables.

«Всё получилось идеально, — думал Николай, смотря на длинный список покупок.

"Everything worked out perfectly," thought Nikolay, looking at the long shopping list.

— Если только я смогу собрать всё это, как просили родители».

"If only I can gather all of this, as my parents asked."

Эта задача пугала его.

This task frightened him.

Ирa, старшая сестра, оставила его наедине с планированием.

Ira, the older sister, left him alone with the planning.

Она должна была быть связистом, постоянно звоня ему и предлагая возможные замены, если нужное отсутствует.

She was supposed to be the liaison, constantly calling him and suggesting possible substitutions if something was missing.

Виктор, младший брат, был более заинтересован в новом телефоне, чем в покупке продуктов.

Viktor, the younger brother, was more interested in his new phone than in grocery shopping.

«Виктор, нам нужно сфокусироваться», — напомнил Николай, когда они вошли в первый ряд.

"Viktor, we need to focus," reminded Nikolay as they walked down the first aisle.

Но тот лишь кивнул, задумчиво глядя в экран.

But he just nodded, thoughtfully gazing at his screen.

Телефон Николая завибрировал.

Nikolay’s phone vibrated.

Это была Ирa.

It was Ira.

«Коля, если нет капусты, возьми брокколи или цветную капусту».

"If there's no cabbage, Kolya, get broccoli or cauliflower."

Николай вздохнул, перепроверяя список.

Nikolay sighed, rechecking the list.

«Хорошо», — ответил он, всё еще недоволен ситуацией.

"Okay," he replied, still dissatisfied with the situation.

Упорядочив полки в голове и разделив список на разделы, он решил действовать более организованно.

Arranging the shelves in his mind and dividing the list into sections, he decided to act more organized.

«Виктор, ты ответственный за хлеб и молочные продукты.

"Viktor, you’re responsible for bread and dairy products.

Ирa, помоги мне с овощами через телефон».

Ira, help me with the vegetables over the phone."

Спустя некоторое время, корзина полнилась нужными товарами.

After some time, the basket filled with the necessary goods.

Николай начал чувствовать себя увереннее.

Nikolay began to feel more confident.

Всё шло гладко, пока он не заметил их самую важную покупку — был забыт один из главных ингредиентов для особого семейного блюда.

Everything was going smoothly until he noticed that their most important purchase — one of the main ingredients for a special family dish — was forgotten.

Николай остолбенел.

Nikolay was petrified.

Он снова получил вызов от Иры.

He received another call from Ira.

Вскоре началась телефонная дискуссия.

A phone discussion soon ensued.

«Ты должен был помнить про это, Коля!

"You were supposed to remember that, Kolya!"

» — Ирa повысила голос.

Ira raised her voice.

«Я думал, это вещи Виктора», — оправдался Николай.

"I thought it was Viktor's responsibility," Nikolay justified himself.

Виктор выглядел потрясённым, но потом внезапно поднял руку: «Я помню!

Viktor looked stunned but then suddenly raised his hand, "I remember!

Я видел это в задней части магазина».

I saw it at the back of the store."

Это дало Николая новую надежду.

This gave Nikolay new hope.

Он побежал к указанным полкам, нашёл недостающий элемент и добавил его в корзину.

He ran to the indicated shelves, found the missing item, and added it to the basket.

Вздох облегчения вырвался из его груди.

A sigh of relief escaped his chest.

Всё было готово к кассе.

Everything was ready for checkout.

Николай, наконец, смог вести доброжелательный разговор с Ириной и Виктором.

Nikolay was finally able to have a friendly conversation with Ira and Viktor.

Они общими силами сняли напряжение и немного улучшили их динамику.

Together, they eased the tension and slightly improved their dynamics.

Магазин встречал Николая тёплыми словами: «Спасибо за покупку!

The store greeted Nikolay with warm words: "Thank you for shopping!"

» Теперь, выйдя из магазина, он чувствовал, что справился не только с простой задачей, но и с чем-то большим.

Now, leaving the store, he felt he had accomplished not just a simple task, but something greater.

Он приобрёл уверенность и нашёл путь, как лучше общаться с семьёй.

He gained confidence and found a way to communicate better with his family.

Домой они возвращались не в молчании, как обычно бывало, а делясь историями и шутками.
