Într-o dimineață însorită de vară, la școala de vară din inima României, Andrei stătea la fereastra dormitorului său.

Școala era o clădire veche cu pereți groși și coridoare largi.

În spatele ei, pădurea își întindea brațele verzi și misterioase, atrăgând curiozitatea lui Andrei.

Se zvonea că în acea pădure se află o grădină secretă, plină de flori rare și fântâni murmurânde.

It was rumored that within that forest lay a secret garden, full of rare flowers and murmuring fountains.

Andrei era un băiat tăcut, dar foarte curios.

Andrei was a quiet boy but very curious.

Își dorea să găsească grădina, dar îi era teamă să pornească singur în căutarea ei.

He wanted to find the garden, but he was afraid to embark on the search alone.

Îi lipsea compania și, mai ales, încrederea în colegii săi, care nu îi împărtășeau mereu pasiunile.

He lacked companionship and, especially, trust in his classmates, who didn’t always share his passions.

În aceeași dimineață, Elena, o nouă participantă la tabără, se apropie de Andrei.

That same morning, Elena, a new participant in the camp, approached Andrei.

Elena era veselă și vorbea cu toți cei din jur.

Elena was cheerful and talked to everyone around.

"Bună, Andrei!

"Hello, Andrei!

Ce faci?

What are you doing?"

" îl întrebă ea cu un zâmbet larg, observându-i privirea îndreptată spre pădure.

Andrei ezită câteva momente.

Andrei hesitated for a few moments.

Amintirile cu colegii care râdeau de el pentru ideile sale îi treceau prin minte.

Memories of classmates laughing at his ideas passed through his mind.

Dar, încet, se hotărî să-i dea Elenei o șansă.

But slowly, he decided to give Elena a chance.

"Cauți ceva special?

"Are you looking for something special?"

" întrebă Elena, simțind ezitarea lui Andrei.

Elena inquired, sensing Andrei's hesitation.

"Acolo, în pădure, se spune că există o grădină secretă.

"There, in the forest, it’s said there's a secret garden.

Vreau să o găsesc, dar nu chiar singur," spuse Andrei precaut.

I want to find it, but not completely alone," Andrei said cautiously.

Elena zâmbi din nou, oferindu-și ajutorul.

Elena smiled again, offering her help.

"Vreau să vin cu tine!

"I want to come with you!

Îmi plac aventurile," răspunse ea entuziasmată.

I love adventures," she responded enthusiastically.

Văzând îndoiala din ochii lui Andrei, Elena hotărî să-i povestească despre vremea când a ajutat să salveze o pisică pierdută în pădurea de lângă satul ei.

Seeing the doubt in Andrei's eyes, Elena decided to tell him about the time she helped rescue a lost cat in the forest near her village.

"Putem să avem încredere unul în celălalt," adăugă ea.

"We can trust each other," she added.

Încurajat de sinceritatea Elenei, Andrei se hotărî să o lase să-l însoțească.

Encouraged by Elena's sincerity, Andrei decided to let her accompany him.

Împreună, au pornit spre marginea pădurii, gata să dezvăluie secretele tăinuite.

După o oră de umblat printre copaci, soarele începea să coboare pe cer, când au găsit, în sfârșit, intrarea în ceea ce părea a fi grădina mult căutată.

After an hour of wandering among the trees, the sun began to set in the sky when they finally found the entrance to what seemed to be the much-searched-for garden.

Însă, în timp ce încercau să pășească înăuntru, un lider de tabără, domnul Ionescu, îi întâmpină cu o privire serioasă.

However, as they tried to step inside, a camp leader, Mr. Ionescu, greeted them with a serious look.

"Ce faceți aici?

"What are you doing here?"

" întrebă el.
