In the golden morning of a crisp autumn day, the botanische tuin shimmered in the radiant sun.

The leaves rustled gently, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of fall.

Amidst this display of colors stood Bram, Els, and Koen, looking at a giant pumpkin maze.

"Today I will lead you," said Bram with an adventurous gleam in his eyes.

"We will find the exit without needing a map."

Els frowned and held the map in her hand.

"Maybe we should look at the signs," she suggested.

  • Maar Bram wuifde haar zorgen weg.

But Bram waved away her concerns.

  • "Ik kan dit," zei hij zelfverzekerd.

"I can do this," he said confidently.

  • Ze stapten samen de doolhof in.

They stepped into the maze together.

High walls of bright orange pumpkins rose above them like a living painting.

Bram walked in front, with Els and Koen following him closely.

"Right is better," said Bram, without really knowing where he was going.

  • Koen lachte rustig.

    Koen laughed quietly.

"Let's just hope you don't get us lost, Bram."

It wasn't long before Bram realized the maze was much more complicated than he thought.

  • "Links of toch rechts?"

    "Left or maybe right?"

  • mompelde hij in zichzelf.

    he muttered to himself.

Els sighed softly and tried to look at the signs.

  • Maar Bram bleef koppig.

    But Bram remained stubborn.

"Just one more turn and we'll be there," he said with confidence.

Suddenly, he made an unexpected turn into a narrow path.

Not watching where he was going, Bram stumbled over a protrusion and fell into a huge pumpkin.

With a loud rumble, the pumpkin started rolling, and Bram disappeared into the maze.

Els let out a scream of shock, while Koen burst into laughter.

  • "Bram!

    "Bram!

  • Waar ben je?"

    Where are you?"

called Els, as she and Koen followed the direction where the pumpkin had rolled.

They heard muffled cries and followed the sound.

Eventually, they found Bram, covered in pumpkin pieces and juice, but safe.

He sat there in the middle of an open spot in the maze, his pride a bit diminished but his laugh still present.

With a face full of pumpkin jelly, Bram looked up and said: "Maybe you're right, help doesn't hurt sometimes."

Koen helped him up and brushed off the pieces, laughing.

Els smiled, happy that it had ended well.

That day Bram learned that sometimes it's better to listen to your friends and that it's often more fun to laugh together.

They continued their way through the maze, this time with Els as the leader and the map firmly in her hand.

The cool autumn wind whispered softly between the pumpkins, as the sun slowly set and gave their adventure a warm glow.
