"Ik ben bijna klaar," antwoordt Daan, hoewel zijn stem verrraad dat hij zich zorgen maakt.
"I'm almost ready," Daan replies, although his voice betrays that he is worried.
Saskia weet dat een deel van zijn spanning niet de presentatie zelf is, maar de vlucht ernaartoe.
Saskia knows that part of his tension isn't the presentation itself but the flight afterward.
"Weet je, ik kan met je mee vliegen," stelt Saskia voor.
"You know, I can fly with you," suggests Saskia.
"Het zou leuk zijn en we kunnen nog wat aan de presentatie werken."
"It would be fun, and we can work on the presentation a bit more."
Daan voelt een last van zijn schouders vallen.
Daan feels a weight lift off his shoulders.
"Dat zou fijn zijn, Saskia.
"That would be nice, Saskia.
Dank je."
Thank you."
Marie, zijn manager, loopt voorbij en glimlacht naar Daan.
Marie, his manager, walks by and smiles at Daan.
Ze heeft altijd in hem geloofd en wil hem graag zien slagen.
She has always believed in him and wants to see him succeed.
"Daan, ik weet dat je dit kunt.
"Daan, I know you can do this.
Je hebt alles goed voorbereid.
You've prepared everything well.
Het gaat fantastisch worden," moedigt ze hem aan.
It's going to be fantastic," she encourages him.
De dag van de vlucht komt snel dichterbij.
The day of the flight approaches quickly.
Daan voelt zich zenuwachtig, maar hij heeft zijn presentatie goed voorbereid en hij weet dat hij op Saskia kan rekenen.
Daan feels nervous, but he has prepared his presentation well and knows he can count on Saskia.
Ze stappen samen in het vliegtuig.
They board the plane together.
Daan ademt diep in en uit als het vliegtuig begint te vertrekken.
Daan takes deep breaths as the plane starts to take off.
Halverwege de vlucht komt er plotseling turbulentie.
Halfway through the flight, turbulence suddenly occurs.
Daan grijpt de armleuning strak vast, zijn knokkels wit.

Saskia legt haar hand op de zijne, haar rustgevende aanwezigheid als een baken in de storm.

"Je doet het geweldig, Daan.
"You're doing great, Daan.
Alles komt goed," zegt ze kalm.
Everything will be fine," she says calmly.
Wanneer ze eindelijk in Londen landen, slaakt Daan een zucht van verlichting.
When they finally land in London, Daan breathes a sigh of relief.
Hij voelt zich sterker en zelfverzekerder dan ooit.
He feels stronger and more confident than ever.
De volgende dag, tijdens de presentatie, is hij in zijn element.

Marie kijkt trots toe terwijl hij zijn ideeën helder en overtuigend presenteert.

Daan voelt een golf van trots.

Op de terugvlucht naar Amsterdam voelt Daan zich anders.
On the return flight to Amsterdam, Daan feels different.
Hij heeft iets belangrijks geleerd: het is oké om hulp te accepteren.

Zijn angst voor vliegen voelt minder overheersend, en hij weet dat hij in de toekomst op Saskia en zijn team kan rekenen.
