Sondre var nervøs da han gikk inn i Oslo Botaniske Hage sammen med resten av biologiklassen.
Sondre was nervous as he walked into the Oslo Botaniske Hage with the rest of the biology class.
Det var en vakker vårdag, og hagen var fylt med sterke farger fra tulipaner og kirsebærblomster.
It was a beautiful spring day, and the garden was filled with vibrant colors from tulips and cherry blossoms.
Fuglene sang muntert i trærne, og luften var frisk og full av vårens lukter.
The birds sang cheerfully in the trees, and the air was fresh and full of spring scents.
Læreren, fru Nilsen, hadde bedt alle forberede seg til dagens ekskursjon.
The teacher, fru Nilsen, had asked everyone to prepare for today's excursion.
Sondre elsket naturen.
Sondre loved nature.
Han hadde alltid vært fascinert av planter og dyr.
He had always been fascinated by plants and animals.
Men han var sjenert.
But he was shy.
Han snakket sjelden høyt i klassen, i motsetning til Lars, som alltid hadde noe å si.
He rarely spoke up in class, unlike Lars, who always had something to say.
Karen, en annen klassekamerat, var også veldig utadvendt.
Karen, another classmate, was also very outgoing.
Sondre følte seg ofte glemt i bakgrunnen.
Sondre often felt forgotten in the background.
I dag ønsket han å gjøre et godt inntrykk.

Han ville vise at han også kunne bidra med noe viktig.

Spesielt hadde han forberedt seg på å snakke om en plante han nylig hadde lest om – bukkehornkløver.

Den hadde interessante medisinske egenskaper, og han hadde lest mye om den i en botanikkbok.
It had interesting medicinal properties, and he had read a lot about it in a botany book.
Klassen samlet seg rundt en vakker blomsterbed mens fru Nilsen pekte på forskjellige planter og snakket om dem.
The class gathered around a beautiful flower bed while fru Nilsen pointed out different plants and talked about them.
Sondre lyttet nøye, men han kjente uroen vokse i magen.
Sondre listened closely, but he felt the unease growing in his stomach.
Ville han klare å snakke i dag?
Would he be able to speak today?
Da pausen var over, samlet fru Nilsen klassen igjen.
When the break was over, fru Nilsen gathered the class again.
"Er det noen som vil dele noe de har lært?
"Is there anyone who wants to share something they have learned?"
" spurte hun.
she asked.
Et øyeblikk var det stille.
For a moment, it was quiet.
Så begynte Lars å snakke om en plante som han hadde sett på et TV-program.
Then Lars started talking about a plant he had seen on a TV program.
Alle lyttet.
Everyone listened.
Sondre kjente hjertet slå raskere.
Sondre felt his heart beating faster.
Dette var hans sjanse.
This was his chance.
Han rakte bestemte hånden i været.
He confidently raised his hand.
Det var en stor avgjørelse for ham.
It was a big decision for him.
Fru Nilsen smilte mot ham oppmuntrende.
Fru Nilsen smiled at him encouragingly.
"Ja, Sondre?
"Yes, Sondre?"
" Hun så glad ut for at han deltok.
She looked happy that he was participating.
"Jeg vil fortelle om bukkehornkløver," begynte Sondre litt nølende.
"I want to talk about fenugreek," Sondre began a bit hesitantly.
"Det er en plante som har mange medisinske egenskaper.
"It's a plant that has many medicinal properties."
" Stemmen hans ble mer sikker etter hvert som han snakket.
His voice became more confident as he spoke.
Han fortalte om hvordan planten kunne hjelpe med fordøyelsen og hadde blitt brukt i tradisjonell medisin.
He talked about how the plant could help with digestion and had been used in traditional medicine.
Klassediskusjonen stilnet da alle lyttet interessert.
The class discussion quieted as everyone listened with interest.
Da han var ferdig, smilte fru Nilsen bredt.
When he finished, fru Nilsen smiled broadly.
"Det var veldig interessant, Sondre!
"That was very interesting, Sondre!
Takk for at du delte dette med oss.
Thank you for sharing this with us."
"Sondre smilte sjenert tilbake.
Sondre smiled back shyly.
Han hadde klart det!
He had done it!
Karen, som sto ved siden av ham, la hånden på armen hans.
Karen, who was standing next to him, put her hand on his arm.
"Det var kjempebra, Sondre.
"That was great, Sondre.
Jeg vil gjerne vite mer om slike planter," sa hun oppriktig.
I would really like to know more about such plants," she said sincerely.
For første gang følte Sondre at stemmen hans ble hørt.
For the first time, Sondre felt that his voice was heard.
Han hadde gjort inntrykk og fikk anerkjennelse.
He had made an impression and received recognition.
Den dagen gikk han hjem med en ny følelse av selvtillit og en forståelse av at hans bidrag også var verdifulle.
That day, he went home with a newfound sense of confidence and an understanding that his contributions were also valuable.
Naturen, som han elsket, hadde hjulpet ham å finne sin stemme.
Nature, which he loved, had helped him find his voice.
