Ole Learns to Skate: Don't Give Up!
Ole, a boy from Norway, had never skated before.
He felt a little nervous, but also excited to try it out.
He met his friends at a lake and they helped him tie on his skates.
"Try to stand up straight and use your arms for balance," said one of his friends.
Ole prøvde å stå oppreist, men hans skjelvende ben hadde problemer med å finne balansen.
Ole tried to stand upright, but his trembling legs had trouble finding his balance.
He took a step and began to slide.
"Dette er ikke så ille," tenkte han.
"This isn't so bad," he thought.
But then he lost his balance, and before he knew it, he was sliding uncontrollably across the lake.
"Åh nei!"
"Oh no!"
ropte han.
he shouted.
Hans venner lo og pekte på ham.
His friends laughed and pointed at him.
Men Ole kunne ikke stoppe seg selv.
But Ole couldn't stop himself.
He continued to slide, eventually crashing into a snowbank.
"Er du ok?"
"Are you okay?"
spurte vennene hans og prustet av latter.
his friends asked, snorting with laughter.
"I'm fine, but it hurt a bit," Ole said as he stood up.
Even though he had fallen and crashed, it was kind of fun to try something new.
Ole decided to try skating again the next time he met his friends at the lake.
He had learned not to give up after one mistake.
