Rudens vējš sirdījās starp senajiem Cēsu pilsdrupu akmeņiem.
The autumn wind murmured among the ancient stones of the Cēsu castle ruins.
The ground was covered with golden and amber-colored leaves, rustling like a mysterious song as they fell.
Mārtiņš un Elīza staigāja pa garajām takām, kur senie bruņinieki reiz soļoja.
Mārtiņš and Elīza walked along the long paths where ancient knights once tread.
Mārtiņš bija nedrošs, bet tas viņu nevarēja apturēt.
Mārtiņš was unsure, but that couldn't stop him.
Viņš skatījās apkārt, acis plēšot ikvienu stūra, lai atklātu ko īpašu.
He looked around, scrutinizing every corner to discover something special.
Elīza gāja lēnām pie Mārtiņa, apskatot sierīgi dzeltenos kokus, baudot rudens krāsu daudzveidību.
Elīza walked slowly next to Mārtiņš, admiring the cheese-yellow trees, enjoying the diverse colors of autumn.
"Paskaties šeit, Elīza!
"Look here, Elīza!"
" Mārtiņš sauca, atrodot nelielu ieeju zem akmens arkām.
Mārtiņš called, finding a small entrance beneath stone arches.
"Es domāju, ka tas varētu būt tunelis.
"I think it could be a tunnel."
""Vai tiešām mums šeit jāmeklē?
"Do we really have to investigate here?"
" Elīza jautāja skeptiski, skatoties uz tumšo ejas melnumu.
Elīza asked skeptically, looking at the darkness of the passage.
"Tas izskatās bīstami un šaurs.
"It looks dangerous and narrow."
""Es gribu zināt, kas tur ir," Mārtiņš uzstāja, sajūtot piedzīvojuma aicinājumu.
"I want to know what's there," Mārtiņš insisted, feeling the call of adventure.
Viņa sirds sitās ātrāk, cīnoties ar bailēm no šaurības.
His heart beat faster, battling his fear of tight spaces.
Elīza skatījās Mārtiņam acīs.
Elīza looked into Mārtiņš's eyes.
"Vai mēs nevarētu vienkārši apskatīt pili?
"Couldn't we just explore the castle?
Tas būtu drošāk.
That would be safer."
"Bet viņa balss bija klusa, un Mārtiņš klusējot izvilka savu kabatas lukturīti.
But her voice was quiet, and Mārtiņš silently pulled out his pocket flashlight.
"Labi, es ieskatīšos tikai nedaudz," viņš teica, solot būt piesardzīgs.
"Okay, I'll just take a quick look," he promised to be cautious.
Kad viņi abi lēnītiņām iebrida tumsā, tuneļa sienas kļuva šaurākas.
As they both slowly ventured into the darkness, the tunnel walls became narrower.
Mārtiņš centās elpot mierīgi, kad viņš sajuta savu klaustrofobiju arvien pieaugošu.
Mārtiņš tried to breathe calmly as he felt his claustrophobia intensifying.
Zem viņu soļiem zeme aizdomīgi drebēja.
The ground beneath their feet suspiciously trembled.
"Mārtiņ, varbūt mums tomēr vajadzētu atgriezties," Elīza teica, balss skanot uztraukuma piepildītai.
"Mārtiņ, maybe we should head back," Elīza said, her voice filled with concern.
"Tas kļūst par daudz.
"It's getting to be too much."
"Mārtiņš apstājās.
Mārtiņš stopped.
Viņa iekšējās bailes kraukšķēja kā vecas lapas.
His inner fears crackled like old leaves.
He realized that although he wanted to explore, his friendship with Elīza was more important than any thrill.
"Tev taisnība," viņš beidzot noteica.
"You're right," he finally said.
"Iesim atpakaļ.
"Let's go back."
"Viņi uzmanīgi pagriezās un devās atpakaļgaitā, un tunelis aiz viņiem ar rūkošanas skaņu daļēji iegruva.
They carefully turned around and made their way back, and the tunnel partially collapsed with a rumbling sound behind them.
Abi raiti steidzās ārā, sirdij sitoties ātrāk nekā jebkad.
Both of them quickly rushed outside, their hearts beating faster than ever.
Ārpusē vējš vēl joprojām vijās starp drupām.
Outside, the wind still wound through the ruins.
Mārtiņš smaidot skatījās uz Elīzu.
Mārtiņš looked at Elīza with a smile.
"Varbūt nav jāatrod dārgumi, lai piedzīvojums būtu vērtīgs," viņš teica.
"Maybe treasures don't need to be found for an adventure to be worthwhile," he said.
Elīza atbildēja smaidot.
Elīza replied with a smile.
"Un drošība ir laba piedzīvojumu pavadone.
"And safety is a good companion for adventures."
"Tā viņi divatā staigāja tālāk pa Cēsu pili, rudens elpai skanot kā draudzības melodijai, kas bieži ir vērtīgāka par jebkuru slepeno atklājumu.
Together they continued to walk through the Cēsu castle, the breath of autumn sounding like a melody of friendship, often more valuable than any hidden discovery.
