Rīgas centrā, zem spožās saules, skanēja mūzika.
In the center of Rīga, under the bright sun, music was playing.
Vērmane dārzs, pilns ar cilvēkiem, ziediem un smieklu skaņām, aicināja uz vasaras koncertu.
Vērmane Garden, full of people, flowers, and the sounds of laughter, invited everyone to a summer concert.
Smaržoja pēc liepām, un putni čivināja līdzi ritmam.
The scent of linden blossoms filled the air, and birds chirped along to the rhythm.
Inese mīlēja šādus koncertus.
Inese loved such concerts.
Mūzika viņu dziedēja.
Music healed her.
Viņa staigāja kopā ar savu labāko draugu Valdi.
She was walking with her best friend Valdis.
"Cik skaisti šeit," Inese teica, izbaudot mirkli.
"How beautiful it is here," Inese said, enjoying the moment.
"Jā," piekrita Valdis, "bet esi uzmanīga, alergēni var būt bīstami.
"Yes," Valdis agreed, "but be careful, allergens can be dangerous."
"Inese pavilka plecus.
Inese shrugged.
Viņa nevēlējās atzīt, ka kādreizējā nenozīmīgā nieze varētu sabojāt tik jauku dienu.
She didn't want to admit that a once insignificant itch could ruin such a lovely day.
Tā bija parasta vasaras diena, koncerts lika viņai aizmirst itin visu.
It was just an ordinary summer day, and the concert made her forget everything.
Bet tad sākās ķibeles.
But then troubles began.
Viņai pēkšņi sāka asarot acis un deguns.
Her eyes and nose suddenly started to water.
Kaut kas sev apkārt kļuva nepareizs.
Something around her felt wrong.
Bija pārāk daudz ziedputekšņu gaisā.
There were too many pollen grains in the air.
Valdis uzreiz pamanīja viņas redzes izmaiņas.
Valdis immediately noticed the change in her appearance.
"Inese, lūdzu, neizvairies," viņš teica, skaidri noraizējies.
"Inese, please don't avoid this," he said, clearly worried.
Inese centās izlikties, ka viss ir kārtībā.
Inese tried to pretend everything was fine.
Viņai bija svarīgi klausīties, nevis dakterēties.
It was important for her to listen, not to seek medical help.
Bet Ineses stāvoklis pasliktinājās.
But Inese's condition worsened.
Viņa sāka klepot.
She started coughing.
Acis kļuva sarkanas.
Her eyes became red.
Raimonds, kurš stāvēja blakus ar ģitāru, pamanīja viņu cīņu.
Raimonds, who was standing nearby with a guitar, noticed her struggle.
"Es esmu mediķis," viņš sacīja, pieejot tuvāk.
"I'm a medic," he said, approaching her.
"Es varu palīdzēt.
"I can help."
"Valdis viņu lūdza pieņemt palīdzību.
Valdis urged her to accept the help.
Inese beidzot atzīst sakāvi.
Inese finally admitted defeat.
Ārsts nebija viņas plānā, bet veselība svarīgāka.
A doctor wasn't part of her plan, but health was more important.
Raimonds ātri reaģēja, veicot dažas pārbaudes, un devis padomu.
Raimonds quickly reacted, performing a few checks, and offered his advice.
"Tu nedrīksti ignorēt savu alerģiju," viņš pamācīja viņu maigi.
"You mustn't ignore your allergy," he gently advised her.
Pēc acu skalošanas un nelielas miera Inese sāka justies labāk.
After eye rinsing and a bit of rest, Inese started feeling better.
Starpmiņu staro nedaudz nokaunējusies, bet pateicīga.
In between, she felt a bit embarrassed but grateful.
Valdis pasmaidīja.
Valdis smiled.
"Redz, draudzība ir arī mīlestība," viņš teica.
"See, friendship is also love," he said.
Pēc šīs dienas Inese nodomāja vairāk ieklausīties savā ķermenī.
After this day, Inese resolved to listen more to her body.
Raimonds, ar draudzīgu smaidu, aicināja viņus nākamreiz klausīties viņa spēli drošākos apstākļos.
Raimonds, with a friendly smile, invited them to listen to his performance next time under safer circumstances.
Trijotne apsolās satikties atkal, labāk sagatavojušies un vēl draudzīgāki.
The trio promised to meet again, better prepared and even more friendly.
Un tā Vērmane dārzā skanēja mūzika, bet Ineses sirds — vēl skaļāk.
And so music played in Vērmane Garden, but Inese's heart — even louder.
