Saulainajā vasaras rītā, kad skolas zvans drīz signalizēs par pēdējo dienu pirms brīvlaika, Anetes sirdī valdīja sajūtu jūra.
On the sunny summer morning, when the school bell would soon signal the last day before break, Anetes heart harbored a sea of emotions.
Suburbānajā kopienā, kur viņa dzīvoja, iestājās miers, bet Anetes domas bija nemierīgas.
In the suburban community where she lived, peace had settled in, but Anetes thoughts were restless.
Viņas grāmatas un klades bija rūpīgi saliktas somā, tomēr šodien viņai galvenais mērķis bija cits.
Her books and notebooks were carefully placed in her bag, yet today her main goal was different.
The school was only a few blocks away from the gate, and Anete suspiciously perceived the summer breeze, scented with fresh greenery and last year's meadows.
Edgars, viņas vecākais brālis, jau sen bija noracies savās domās.
Edgars, her older brother, had long buried himself in his thoughts.
He watched as Anete walked vigorously and still mumbled about her plan to invite Vilni over to the pool.
Edgars bija aizsargājošs, bet Anetei tas bija jādara vienreiz pašai.
Edgars was protective, but Anete needed to do this once on her own.
"Tu tiešām vēlies to darīt?
"Do you really want to do it?"
" Edgars beidzot salauza klusumu.
Edgars finally broke the silence.
"Jā, es domāju, ka jā," Anete atbildēja pārdomājot.
"Yes, I think I do," Anete replied thoughtfully.
"Es tikai gribu būtu draudzīgāka.
"I just want to be more friendly."
"Skolas pēdējā diena bija kā allaž.
The last day of school was as usual.
Bērni skraidīja pa gaiteni, runājot par saviem vasaras plāniem.
Children ran through the corridor, talking about their summer plans.
The air was full of the smell of sunscreen, mixed with the students' excitement.
Kad beidzot skolas zvans novibrēja pēdējo reizi, Anete sakrāja visu savu drosmi.
When the school bell finally vibrated for the last time, Anete gathered all her courage.
Vilnis bija turpat, kur parasti, ar saviem draugiem.
Vilnis was there, as usual, with his friends.
Viņš smējās, tā it kā pasaulē nekādu problēmu nebūtu.
He laughed as if there were no problems in the world.
Anete juta savai sirdij paliekam straujāku.
Anete felt her heart beating faster.
She approached Vilni, as the noise of other children faded in her head.
"Vilni," viņa uzsāka, gurdzīgi, "man ir neliels pasākums mūsu kopienas baseinā.
"Vilni," she started, hesitantly, "I have a small event at our community pool.
Vai tev būtu vēlme pievienoties?
Would you like to join?"
"Viņa draugu smiekli pierima, un Vilnis skatījās uz Aneti, brīdi klusējot.
Her friends' laughter subsided, and Vilnis looked at Aneti, silent for a moment.
Tad viņa seja kļuva gaišāka.
Then his face brightened.
"Protams, tas izklausās lieliski!
"Of course, that sounds great!"
" viņš teica, piedāvājot neaizmirstamu smaidu.
he said, offering an unforgettable smile.
"Es labprāt nāktu.
"I'd love to come."
"Anete necerēja uz tik laipnu atbildi.
Anete hadn't hoped for such a kind response.
She smiled to herself, feeling as light as the summer breeze.
Skolas gaiteņi šķietami sadzīvoja viņas priekā.
The school corridors seemingly resonated with her joy.
Kad viņa vēlāk atgriezās mājās, Edgars viņu sagaidīja pie vārtiem.
When she later returned home, Edgars greeted her at the gate.
Viņš bija redzējis Anetes triumfu.
He had seen Anetes triumph.
"Tu to izdarīji," viņš atzina ar lepnumu.
"You did it," he acknowledged with pride.
"Es vienmēr būšu tev blakus, bet priecājos, ka tu atradi savu ceļu.
"I'll always be by your side, but I'm glad you found your way."
""Nezinu, kā mums šovasar veiksies, bet esmu gatava mēģināt," Anete atbildēja, jūtot, kā viņas pārliecība pieaug.
"I don't know how we'll fare this summer, but I'm ready to try," Anete replied, feeling her confidence grow.
That summer began with new promises and hopeful opportunities.
The suburban community, with its tree-shaded streets and clear pool surface, now became a place of possibilities, where Anete seemed to have finally found her path to friendship and true happiness.
