The house was comfortably arranged, and there was also a beautiful Christmas tree set up, under which many wrapped presents shuffled back and forth, waiting for Christmas.

Tikšanās nebija viegla.

The meeting wasn’t easy.

Inese nezināja, ko teikt, kā sēdēt.

Taču, vakara vidū, viņi visi sanāca ap egli, lai piedalītos adventes sveču aizdegšanas ceremonijā.

But in the middle of the evening, they all gathered around the tree to participate in the Advent candle lighting ceremony.

Inese stāvēja un turēja sveci trīcošās rokās.

Inese stood holding a candle in trembling hands.

When she lit it, she felt at peace.

Šie vārdi aizgāja līdz ģimenes sirdij.

These words reached the family's heart.

Māte smaidīja un atbildēja: “Mēs ceram, ka drīz tu būsi daļa no mūsu ģimenes.”

Tikšanās drīz noslēdzās ar smaidiem un gaidām.

The meeting soon ended with smiles and anticipation.

Atpakaļceļā uz bērnu namu, Inese juta siltumu sirdī.
