Jānis un Ilze pastaigājās pa Ķemeru Nacionālo parku.
Jānis and Ilze were walking through Ķemeru Nacionālo parku.
Jānis bija dzirdējis par noslēpumaino ūdenskritumu.
Jānis had heard about the mysterious waterfall.
Viņš gribēja to atrast un pārsteigt Ilzi.
He wanted to find it and surprise Ilze.
Ilze gribēja tikai izbaudīt dabas skaistumu.
Ilze just wanted to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Bija vēls pavasaris, apkārt plauka zaļumi, un putni dziedāja savās ligzdās.
It was late spring, greenery was blossoming everywhere, and birds were singing in their nests.
Saule spīdēja siltā, maigā gaismā.
The sun shone with warm, gentle light.
Abi soļoja pa parku, kur koku lapas veidoja blīvu jumtu.
The two of them walked through the park, where the tree leaves formed a dense canopy.
Takas bija līkumotas, bet Jānis bija pašpārliecināts.
The paths were winding, but Jānis was confident.
"Mēs drīz to atradīsim," viņš teica.
"We will soon find it," he said.
Ilze paskatījās apkārt.
Ilze looked around.
"Esi piesardzīgs, var kļūt tumšs," viņa atgādināja.
"Be cautious, it can get dark," she reminded him.
Diena gāja uz vakarpusi.
The day was moving towards evening.
Jānis strauji gāja uz priekšu.
Jānis moved forward quickly.
Tad pēkšņi viņi atrada sevi nekurienes vidū.
Then suddenly they found themselves in the middle of nowhere.
Viņi bija apmaldījušies.
They were lost.
Apkārt viss izskatījās vienādi.
Everything around looked the same.
Ilze iesāka rūpīgi apsvērt situāciju.
Ilze began to carefully consider the situation.
"Mēs esam tālu no galvenās takas," viņa sacīja.
"We are far from the main path," she said.
Jānis sajuta satraukumu.
Jānis felt anxious.
"Man likās, ka es zinu ceļu," viņš klusībā domāja.
"I thought I knew the way," he thought to himself.
Laiks ritēja, un ilgi gaidāmā Jāņu nakts pietuvojās.
Time was passing, and the long-awaited Jāņu night was approaching.
Bet tagad nebija laiks svinībām.
But now was not the time for celebration.
Saule sāka dilst aiz horizontiem, un apkārtējais mežs tapa arvien tumšāks.
The sun began to set beyond the horizons, and the surrounding forest became darker.
Viņi sāka apspriesties.
They started to discuss.
Ilze teica: "Varbūt mums jādodas atpakaļ?
Ilze said, "Maybe we should head back?"
" Jānis nebija pārliecināts.
Jānis was not sure.
Bet pēkšņi viņi dzirdēja ūdens šalkoņu.
But suddenly they heard the sound of rushing water.
"Tas varētu būt ūdenskritums!
"That could be the waterfall!"
" Jānis sauca, aizrauts.
Jānis exclaimed, excited.
Taču Ilze palika piesardzīga: "Bet, ja kļūst pavisam tumšs?
However, Ilze remained cautious: "But what if it gets completely dark?"
" Viņi cīnījās ar laiku un vēlmi.
They struggled with time and desire.
Beidzot Jānis nolēma: "Mums jābūt prātīgiem.
Finally, Jānis decided: "We have to be sensible.
Atgriezīsimies.
Let’s go back."
" Šī atziņa ieviesa viņā mieru, un Ilze piekrita.
This realization brought him peace, and Ilze agreed.
Viņi grieza savus soļus atpakaļ drošajā virzienā.
They turned their steps back in the safe direction.
Kad viņi izgāja no meža, viņi apsēdās atpūsties.
When they emerged from the forest, they sat down to rest.
Jānis saprata, cik svarīgi ir sadarboties un plānot.
Jānis realized how important it is to cooperate and plan.
"Paldies, ka mani saprati," viņš sacīja Ilzei.
"Thank you for understanding me," he said to Ilze.
Viņa smaidīja.
She smiled.
"Daba ir skaista, bet es negribu to baudīt vienatnē.
"Nature is beautiful, but I don’t want to enjoy it alone."
"Kopā viņi atgriezās ciematā, kur gaidīja Jāņu svinības.
Together, they returned to the village, where Jāņu celebrations awaited.
Mežs bija piedzīvojums, un Jānis apzinājās, cik daudz viņš bija mācījies.
The forest had been an adventure, and Jānis realized how much he had learned.
Turpmāk viņš zināja, ka drošība ir svarīgāka par bravūru.
From now on, he knew that safety is more important than bravado.
Un Ilze bija priecīga, ka viņš to saprata.
And Ilze was glad that he understood that.
Viņi abi atgriezās droši mājās, vēlreiz izbaudot dabu, bet šoreiz ar skaidru prātu un komandas garu.
They both returned safely home, once again enjoying nature, but this time with a clear mind and team spirit.
