지수는 오늘의 목표를 다시 다짐한다. "좋은 가격에 신선한 채소를 사자!"

Jisoo reaffirms today's goal, "Let's buy fresh vegetables at a good price!"

그녀는 똑 부러지는 대학생이다.

She is a sharp college student.

협상하는 것이 그녀의 특기다.

Bargaining is her specialty.

옆에서는 밍규가 웃으며 시장을 구경하고 있다.

"찐빵이다, 지수야! 나 이거 먹고 싶어!"

"It's Jjinbbang, Jisoo-ya! I want to eat this!"

"밍규야, 오늘 목표는 채소야! 그러니까 잘 따라와." 지수는 미소 지으며 용기를 준다.

"Mingyu-ya, today's goal is vegetables! So, follow me well." Jisoo smiles, giving him encouragement.

그러나 밍규의 눈은 이미 다른 노점상에서 파는 맛있는 음식에 사로잡혀 있다.

However, Mingyu's eyes are already captivated by the delicious food sold at other stalls.

두 사람은 시장의 한 채소 가판대에 도착한다.

The two arrive at a vegetable stall in the market.

지수는 상인과 가격을 협상하기 시작한다.

Jisoo starts negotiating with the vendor.

"이거 조금만 더 깎아주세요. 학생이거든요."

"Could you lower the price a bit? I'm a student."

상인은 웃으며 말한다. "아가씨, 여기가 최저가야."

The vendor smiles and says, "Miss, this is the rock-bottom price."

지수는 이를 악물고 다시 시도한다.

Clenching her teeth, Jisoo attempts again.

양쪽의 이빨이 부딪힐 때마다 밍규는 시장 곳곳을 탐방한다.

While the bargaining continues, Mingyu explores every corner of the market.

갑자기, 밍규가 가판대 옆에서 빨간 고추를 집어들고 냄새를 맡는다.

Suddenly, Mingyu picks up a red chili pepper next to the stall and smells it.

"이거 맵다!" 하고 강한 향에 놀라며 고추를 놓친다.

"It's spicy!" he exclaims, surprised by the strong scent, and drops the pepper.

그 고추는 하필이면 상인의 조리 중인 스튜 냄비로 날아간다.

Of all places, the pepper lands directly into the vendor's simmering stew pot.

"앗! 내 스튜!" 상인의 외침에 시장은 순간적으로 조용해지고, 곧 이어 폭소가 터져 나온다.

"Oh no! My stew!" With the vendor's shout, the market falls silent for a moment, before bursting into laughter.

스튜 국물이 넘치고, 옆의 가판대에는 야채가 우수수 떨어진다.

The stew overflows, and vegetables from the nearby stall scatter.

불꽃 같은 고추의 여파가 시장 전체를 향유하게 만든다.

지수와 밍규는 서로를 바라보며 웃음을 터뜨린다.

Jisoo and Mingyu look at each other and break into laughter.

둘 다 야채와 음식물에 젖어 있지만, 밍규는 웃으며 지수에게 말한다. "오늘은 내가 밥 살게!"

Both soaked in vegetables and food, Mingyu laughs and says to Jisoo, "I'll buy you a meal today!"

지수는 머리를 흔들며 미소를 짓는다.

"Alright. Sometimes it's nice to step off plan. Let's go together."
