햇살이 따사로운 여름 아침, 정원이 잘 가꾸어져 있는 한 철문으로 둘러싸인 커뮤니티 마을. 이곳에는 수진과 지원이 살고 있었다.

On a sunny summer morning, in a community village surrounded by a well-maintained garden and an iron gate, lived Sujin and Jiwon.

수진은 중년 여성이지만 언제나 활기 넘치는 사람으로, 자신의 정원을 자랑스럽게 여기고 있었다.

한편, 지원은 조용하고 내성적인 이웃으로, 곧 있을 미술 전시회를 위해 그림을 그리는 중이었다.

Meanwhile, Jiwon was a quiet and introverted neighbor, busy painting for an upcoming art exhibition.

어느 날 아침, 수진은 막 개봉한 새로운 에어풀장을 찾지 못했다.

One morning, Sujin couldn't find her newly opened inflatable pool.

날씨가 더워서 수진은 풀장에 물을 채우고 놀고 싶었다.

The weather was hot, and she wanted to fill it with water and enjoy it.

그러나 풀장은 찾아볼 수 없었고, 수진은 결단을 내렸다.

However, the pool was nowhere to be found, and Sujin made a decision.

"혹시 지원이 빌려 갔나?"라고 혼잣말했다.

She muttered to herself, "Did Jiwon borrow it?"

수진은 지원의 집으로 향했다.

She headed to Jiwon's house.

수진은 지원의 문 앞에서 초인종을 눌렀다.

Sujin rang the doorbell at Jiwon's door.

지원은 문을 열고 수진을 맞이했다.

Jiwon opened the door and greeted her.

수진은 웃으며 말했지만, 약간은 조심스럽게 질문을 던졌다. "지원씨, 혹시 제 에어풀장 봤어요?"

With a smile but a bit cautiously, Sujin asked, "Have you seen my inflatable pool, Jiwon?"

지원은 깜짝 놀랐다.

Jiwon was surprised.

그는 풀장을 본 적이 없었다.

He had never seen the pool.

그러나 수진의 실망을 막기 위해 얼른 화제를 바꾸었다.

"이번에 새로 그린 그림 한 번 보세요."

수진은 지원의 정원으로 따라 들어갔다.

그곳에는 한 마리의 다람쥐가 있으며, 에어풀장을 뚫고 있었다.

수진과 지원은 서로를 바라보며 웃음을 터트렸다.

그제야 둘은 웃으며 진정하고, 이번 일의 진짜 범인을 찾아냈다.

해종이 끝나고, 수진은 지원에게 그림에 대한 아이디어를 몇 가지 내주었다.

지원은 그녀의 발랄함을 조금씩 이해하게 되었고, 수진 역시 성급한 결정을 내리지 않기로 마음먹었다.

Jiwon gradually began to understand her liveliness, and Sujin decided not to make hasty conclusions.

햇살은 여전히 따뜻했고, 정원에선 새가 지저귀었다.

The sunlight remained warm, and birds chirped in the garden.
