가을이 깊어가는 어느 날, 서울의 중심인 광화문 광장은 활기가 넘쳤다.

One autumn day, as autumn deepened, Gwanghwamun Square in the heart of Seoul was bustling with energy.

가을 단풍이 물든 나무들이 커다란 그림처럼 서 있었고, 추석을 맞아 많은 사람들이 찾고 있었다.

Trees adorned with autumn foliage stood like grand paintings, and many people were visiting to celebrate Chuseok.

조원은 중학교 소풍으로 광화문 광장에 오게 되었다.

Jowon came to Gwanghwamun Square for a middle school field trip.

그는 수줍음이 많지만, 새를 그리는 것을 좋아했다.

Though shy, he loved drawing birds.

조원은 이번 소풍에서 완벽한 그림을 그리고 싶었다. 학교 전시회가 다가오고 있었기 때문이다.

He wanted to create a perfect drawing on this trip because the school exhibition was approaching.

조원의 옆에는 항상 활기찬 친구 혜진이 있었다.

Next to Jowon was his always cheerful friend Hyejin.

혜진은 이야기를 만드는 걸 좋아해서 조원을 자주 웃게 해 주었다.
