今日は秋分の日。

Today is the autumn equinox.

東京の国立科学博物館はゴールドの葉が舞う秋の一日で賑わっている。

The Tokyo National Museum of Nature and Science is bustling with activity on this autumn day, with golden leaves swirling in the air.

高校生のユキは、恐竜に興味を持ち友達のハナとタロウと一緒に来た。

A high school student, Yuki, has come here with her friends Hana and Taro because she is interested in dinosaurs.

彼女の心はわくわくだ。

Her heart is excited.

だが、最近頻繁に感じるめまいが彼女を悩ませている。

However, frequent dizziness has been troubling her lately.

ユキは「絶対にみんなに心配かけない」と決めて、何もなかったフリをした。

Yuki decided, ""I absolutely don't want to worry everyone," and pretended that nothing was wrong.

彼女は珍しい恐竜の展示を心待ちにしていたのだ。

She was eagerly anticipating the rare dinosaur exhibit.

大きな窓から差し込む柔らかな光の中で、彼らは展示を見て回った。

Bathed in the gentle light streaming in through the large windows, they went around looking at the displays.

しかし、ティラノサウルス・レックスの巨大な骨格の前でユキの視界がぼやけた。

However, in front of the gigantic skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Yuki's vision started to blur.

「やばい...」と彼女は思い、小さな声を出した。

"Oh no..." she thought and uttered a small voice.

力を失いそうな足を堪えつつ、彼女は展示物をじっくり見るフリをした。

She tried to keep her weakening legs steady, pretending to examine the exhibit closely.

しかし、めまいはどんどん強くなる。

But the dizziness was getting stronger.

「ここで倒れるわけにはいかない」と彼女は決心した。

"I can't collapse here," she decided.

ふと、近くにあったベンチを見つけ、何とかすすめたが、ハナとタロウは彼女をじっと見つめていた。

She suddenly spotted a nearby bench and somehow managed to head towards it, but Hana and Taro were watching her closely.

「ユキ、大丈夫？」とハナが穏やかに問いかけた。

"Yuki, are you okay?" Hana asked gently.

「今日はもう休もうか？」とタロウも心配そうに言った。

"Should we just take a break for today?" Taro added, looking concerned.

負けじと笑顔を見せようとしたが、ユキは声に出さずに彼らに助けを求めた。

Trying to muster a smile, Yuki sought their help without voicing it.

「ありがとう」と彼らに囁いた後、彼らは一緒にベンチに座った。

After whispering ""Thank you" to them, they sat together on the bench.

「また来ればいいんだよ。

"We can always come back.

ユキの元気が一番大事だし」とハナは優しく言った。

Yuki's health is the most important," Hana said kindly.

「うん、また一緒に来よう！」とタロウも笑った。

"Yeah, let's come again together!" Taro smiled.

ユキは、自分が弱さを見せても大丈夫だと知ることができた。

Yuki realized it was okay to show her weakness.

「友達って本当に大事だな」と彼女は心の中で思った。

"Friends are really important," she thought to herself.

大切なのは展示物より、お互いの健康だ。

What's vital is not the exhibits but each other's well-being.

その後、三人は秋の穏やかな風に吹かれながら、ゆっくりと帰路についた。

Afterwards, the three of them leisurely headed home, blown gently by the calm autumn breeze.

友情の温かさが、彼らをさらに絆で結んでいった。

The warmth of their friendship connected them even more strongly.
