京都の大きな家には、秋の訪れが感じられるようになりました。

In the large house in Kyoto, the arrival of autumn is starting to be felt.

この季節、家族は久しぶりに集まります。

During this season, the family gathers together for the first time in a while.

月見の夜が来るのです。

It is the night of the tsukimi, the moon-viewing festival.

長男のハルトは、家族の伝統を守りたいと思っています。

The eldest son, Haruto, wants to uphold the family tradition.

彼は慎重で、家族のことを大切にしています。

He is careful and values his family.

ハルトは、祭りの準備に忙しく、家の庭に提灯を飾ります。

Haruto is busy preparing for the festival and decorates the garden with lanterns.

庭は月見には最高の場所です。

The garden is the perfect place for tsukimi.

中間のユキは、ハルトと違い、冒険好きです。

The middle child, Yuki, unlike Haruto, loves adventure.

新しいことを試すのが好きです。

She likes trying new things.

彼女は庭を見て、もっと色を加えたいと思います。

Looking at the garden, she thinks it needs more color.

「ここに色とりどりの花を飾りたいわ」とユキは言います。

“I want to decorate with colorful flowers here,” says Yuki.

末っ子のアイコは、夢見る性格です。

The youngest, Aiko, has a dreamy personality.

彼女は創造性に溢れていますが、よく兄弟に影をひそませると感じています。

She is full of creativity but often feels overshadowed by her siblings.

「もっと家の中も素敵にしたいな」とアイコは言います。

“I want to make the inside of the house more wonderful too,” says Aiko.

それぞれの意見を聞いて、ハルトは考えます。

Listening to each opinion, Haruto thinks it over.

彼は家族の伝統を守りたいですが、妹たちの意見も大切にしたいです。

He wants to uphold the family tradition but also values his sisters' opinions.

そこで、ハルトは彼らを準備に巻き込みます。

So, Haruto involves them in the preparations.

ユキは庭に色鮮やかな花を加え、アイコは家の中に紙の月と星を飾ります。

Yuki adds colorful flowers to the garden, and Aiko decorates the inside of the house with paper moons and stars.

夜、ついに月見の時間になりました。

At night, the time for tsukimi finally arrives.

そこに突然の雨。

Suddenly, it starts to rain.

庭での計画は中止になりそうです。

The plan in the garden seems to be canceled.

家族は一瞬落胆しますが、ハルトは言います。「家の中で楽しみ続けよう。

The family feels disappointed for a moment, but Haruto says, “Let’s continue enjoying ourselves inside the house.

皆の準備があるから、大丈夫さ。」

With everyone's preparations, it’ll be okay.”

家に戻り、みんなはテーブルの周りに集まります。

Returning inside, everyone gathers around the table.

ユキがカラフルなランタンを立て、部屋は一層明るくなります。

Yuki sets up colorful lanterns, brightening the room even more.

アイコの作った紙の飾りが天井に揺れて、部屋の中に幻想的な影を作り出します。

The paper decorations Aiko made sway from the ceiling, casting magical shadows throughout the room.

ハルトは、家族の笑顔を見て、心が温かくなりました。

Haruto felt his heart warm up seeing his family’s smiles.

雨音が窓を叩く中、家の中は温かく、心地よい雰囲気で満たされました。

As the sound of rain taps on the window, the inside of the house is filled with a warm and cozy atmosphere.

ハルトは、妹たちの個性を受け入れる大切さを学びました。

Haruto learned the importance of embracing his sisters’ individuality.

伝統と新しい工夫の融合で、予想外に特別な夜ができあがりました。

Through a blend of tradition and new innovations, an unexpectedly special night was created.

この月見の夜、家族はそれぞれの色を放ちながら、一つの光として輝いていました。

On this tsukimi night, the family shone as one light, each bringing their own colors.
