静かな午後の光が、新宿御苑の緑豊かな風景を照らします。

夏の終わりを感じさせる暖かい風が、木々の間を穏やかに吹き抜けます。

A warm breeze, hinting at the end of summer, gently passes through the trees.

さとし、えみこ、そしてりくの三人は入園口をくぐります。

Satoshi, Emiko, and Riku pass through the entrance gate.

その日はお盆祭りの期間中で、普段の東京都心とは違い、ここはのんびりとした時間が流れています。

During this time, it's the period of the Obon festival, and unlike the usual hustle of downtown Tokyo, a leisurely time flows here.

さとしはバッグを持ち、軽やかな足取りで二人を先導します。

「ここ、最高の場所だね」と、えみこが嬉しそうに言います。広大な芝生にピクニックマットを広げます。

"This is the best place," Emiko says happily as she spreads out a picnic mat on the vast lawn.

その様子を見ていたさとしは、友情がこれからどうなるのかに心を奪われながら、決意を新たにします。

Watching them, Satoshi is captivated by thoughts of what their friendship might become and makes a fresh resolution.

遅い昼食を楽しみながら、さとしは覚悟を決めます。

As they enjoy a late lunch, Satoshi makes up his mind.

「ねえ、みんな、聞いてほしいことがあるんだ」と彼は切り出します。

"Hey, everyone, there's something I want to tell you," he begins.

彼の声は少し震えていますが、感情を素直に伝えることが大切だと信じています。

His voice trembles slightly, but he believes it's important to express his feelings honestly.

えみことりくは顔を見合わせ、静かに彼をうながします。

Emiko and Riku exchange glances and quietly encourage him to continue.

「僕たち、これから道が別々になるけれど、友達でい続けようね。どんなに離れていても」と、彼は言います。

"Even though we might go different ways from now on, let's remain friends. No matter how far apart we may be," he says.

その言葉を受けて、えみこは微笑みながら「そうだね、旅をするときも、ずっと連絡を取り合おうよ。大切なことだから」と賛同します。

Hearing his words, Emiko smiles and agrees, "Yes, even when we travel, let's keep in touch. It's important."

りくも頷き、「僕も大学で忙しくなるかもしれないけど、お互いを思い合っていたいね」と続けます。

Riku nods, adding, "I might get busy with university, but I want us to always think of one another."

三人はお互いに心のうちを話し合い、次第にそれぞれの不安を共有することができました。

The three of them share their innermost thoughts, gradually opening up about their anxieties.

新しい冒険に出る喜びと、友情の変化への不安。

しかし、彼らはどれだけの時が流れても、絆は変わらないことを確認します。

太陽が西に傾き、影が長くなり始めました。「またみんなで集まる日を、いつでも楽しみにしているよ」とさとしは笑顔で言います。

そして、3人は約束を交わし、未来への第一歩を踏み出します。
