京都の夏、夜空には無数の星が輝き、街は七夕祭りの明かりで照らされていました。

In the summer of Kyoto, countless stars shone in the night sky, and the city was illuminated by the lights of the Tanabata Festival.

道沿いには色とりどりの提灯が並び、甘いお菓子や伝統的なゲームの屋台が賑わっています。

Along the streets, colorful lanterns lined up, and stalls with sweet sweets and traditional games were bustling.

この美しい夜、ハルキは何とかユキに気持ちを伝えようと計画を立てていました。

On this beautiful night, Haruki was planning to somehow convey his feelings to Yuki.

「よし、今日は最高の夜になるはずだ。」とハルキは一人つぶやきました。

"Alright, tonight is going to be the best night," Haruki murmured to himself.

彼はユキを祭りに誘い、心の中で告白のシナリオを何度も描いていました。

He invited Yuki to the festival and had been running through the scenario of his confession countless times in his mind.

しかし、親友のソラも一緒に来ることをすっかり忘れていました。

However, he had completely forgotten that his best friend, Sora, would also be coming along.

ソラは悪戯好きで、祭りをさらに楽しくするつもりでいたのです。

ハルキたちはゲーム屋台の前で立ち止まりました。

Haruki and his friends stopped in front of a game stall.

「さあ、ユキ。これをやってみない？」ハルキは輪投げゲームを提案しました。

"Come on, Yuki. Why don't you try this?" Haruki suggested the hoop-throwing game.

ユキが輪を投げようとしたその瞬間、ソラは後ろから「ワッ！」と声を出し、ユキは驚いて輪を落としてしまいました。

Just as Yuki was about to throw the hoop, Sora suddenly shouted "Boo!" from behind, startling Yuki into dropping the hoop.

「ごめんごめん、びっくりさせたね！」ソラは笑いながら謝りました。

"Sorry, sorry, did I scare you?" Sora apologized with a laugh.

ハルキは心の中でため息をつきました。これは計画していませんでした。

Haruki sighed inwardly. This was not part of his plan.

次に、綿菓子の屋台に向かいました。

Next, they headed to the cotton candy stall.

ハルキはかわいい綿菓子をユキに渡したいと思いました。

Haruki wanted to hand Yuki a cute cotton candy.

しかし、ソラは綿菓子を受け取る瞬間に風船を破裂させてしまい、ふわふわの綿が飛び散ってしまいました。

However, just as he was receiving it, Sora popped a balloon, causing the fluffy cotton to scatter everywhere.

「オーマイゴッド！ソラ、本当にやっちゃった！」ハルキは頭を抱えます。

"Oh my god! Sora, you really did it!" Haruki held his head in frustration.

しかし、ユキは「面白いね！」と笑顔で言いました。

But Yuki said with a smile, "It's funny!"

まもなく、花火の時間が近づきました。

Soon, the time for fireworks approached.

ハルキはついにユキと二人きりになれるかもしれない、と期待しました。

しかし、ソラはここでも最後の悪戯を仕掛けてしまいました。

花火が華やかに開いた瞬間、何かカラフルな紙吹雪が空から降ってきました。

「何これ？」ユキは驚いています。

"What’s this?" Yuki exclaimed in surprise.

ソラが用意した紙吹雪です。

It was confetti prepared by Sora.

しかし、風が強く吹き、みんなの上に降りかかって、少し混乱が起きました。

However, a strong wind blew, showering everyone with it, leading to some confusion.

周りの人たちは大笑いし、祭りの夜は一層賑やかになりました。

ハルキはついに計画を諦め、ユキと一緒に笑いました。

Haruki finally gave up on his plan and laughed with Yuki.

「今日の夜、忘れられないね。」ユキが言いました。

「うん、本当に。」ハルキは笑顔で答えました。

"Yeah, really," Haruki replied with a smile.

完璧な瞬間が作れなくても、ユキと一緒に楽しんだ時間が宝物になったのです。

Even without creating the perfect moment, the time he enjoyed with Yuki became a treasure.

彼は気づきました。自分らしくいることが一番大切だと。

He realized that being himself was the most important thing.
