嵐山竹林には様々な音があります。

There are various sounds in the Arashiyama bamboo grove.

竹が揺れる音、鳥のさえずり、そして今日は雨の音も。

The sound of the swaying bamboo, the chirping of birds, and today, the sound of rain as well.

アイコとケンタは道に迷っています。

Aiko and Kenta are lost.

竹が高く、視界が悪いです。

The bamboo is tall, and visibility is poor.

それに夏の雨が急に降り始めました。

Besides that, summer rain began to suddenly fall.

「アイコ、大丈夫？

"Aiko, are you okay?"

」ケンタは心配そうに尋ねます。

Kenta asks worriedly.

アイコは笑顔で答えます。

Aiko replies with a smile.

「平気よ、ケンタ。

"I'm fine, Kenta.

これも冒険の一部よ。

This is part of the adventure."

」しかし、ケンタの心は落ち着きません。

However, Kenta can't calm down.

アイコは時々無茶をします。

Aiko sometimes does reckless things.

「でも、暗くなる前に戻らないと。

"But we have to get back before it gets dark."

」アイコは小さなため息をついて、「あっちに近道があるかもしれないわ」と竹の間を指さします。

Aiko lets out a small sigh and says, "There might be a shortcut over there," pointing through the bamboo.

ケンタは反対します。

Kenta disagrees.

「危ないよ。

"It's dangerous.

元の道に戻りたい。

I want to return to the original path."

」アイコは躊躇なくその方向へ進みました。

Without hesitation, Aiko headed in that direction.

ケンタはため息をついて、彼女の後を追います。

Kenta sighed and followed her.

雨が激しくなり、地面は滑りやすくなってきました。

The rain became heavier, and the ground became slippery.

突然、アイコの足が滑りました。

Suddenly, Aiko's foot slipped.

「キャー！

She cried out, "Kyah!"

」と叫んで地面に倒れました。

and fell to the ground.

ケンタは急いで駆け寄ります。

Kenta rushed over.

「大丈夫、アイコ？

"Are you okay, Aiko?"

」ケンタの手は震えていました。

His hand was trembling.

「こんなところで怪我されたら…。

"If you got hurt in a place like this..." Aiko momentarily had tears in her eyes but bravely said, "I'm fine."

」アイコは一瞬涙を浮かべますが、「平気よ」と強がります。

Even so, her heart was wavering.

それでも、彼女の心は揺れ動いていました。

Kenta made a decision.

ケンタは決断しました。

"Leave it to me, Aiko.

「僕に任せて、アイコ。

I'll find the way."

道を探すよ。

He started to walk carefully, but with confidence.

」彼は慎重に、でも自信を持って歩き始めます。

Aiko watched him with eyes filled with surprise and respect.

アイコはそんなケンタを見て、驚きと尊敬の混じった目で見つめました。

The two began to slowly make their way back, switching roles along the way.

二人は互いに役割を変えながら、少しずつ戻り始めます。

The rain weakened, and the color of the sky began to change.

雨が弱まり、空の色が少しずつ変わってきました。

Finally, they reached the exit of the bamboo grove.

そしてついに、二人は竹林の出口にたどり着きました。

A deep sigh of relief escaped them.

心から安堵の息が漏れます。

At that moment, Kenta made up his mind.

ケンタはその時、決心しました。

"Aiko, actually...

「アイコ、実は…ずっと君が好きだったんだ。

I've liked you all along."

」アイコは目を大きく開き、そして優しく微笑みました。

Aiko opened her eyes wide and then gently smiled.

「ありがと、ケンタ。

"Thank you, Kenta.

私もあなたを信頼できる仲間だって思ってる。

I also think of you as a trustworthy companion."

」その日、嵐山竹林で雨に濡れた二人の関係は少し変わりました。

That day, in the Arashiyama bamboo grove drenched by rain, their relationship changed a little.

アイコは他人を信じることを学び、ケンタは自分にもっと自信を持ち始めました。

Aiko learned to trust others, and Kenta began to have more confidence in himself.

嵐が過ぎ去った後、竹林は再び静かで、穏やかな場所になりました。

After the storm passed, the bamboo grove became a quiet and peaceful place once again.
