桜が満開の春の日曜日、私は新宿御苑にいました。

On a spring Sunday when the sakura were in full bloom, I was at Shinjuku Gyoen.

カメラを持って、一人で桜の写真を撮る計画です。

My plan was to take photos of the sakura alone with my camera.

久しぶりの仕事の休みの日、忙しい毎日を忘れて、少しでもリラックスしたいと思っていました。

It was my first day off work in a while, and I wanted to forget about my busy daily life and relax, if only for a little while.

公園はとても混んでいて、静かな場所を探すのは難しかったです。

The park was very crowded, and it was hard to find a quiet spot.

でも、なんとか池の近くにいい場所を見つけました。

But somehow, I managed to find a good spot near the pond.

そこにはすでに青年が座っていました。

There was already a young man sitting there.

彼がこちらを見て、にこっと笑います。

He looked at me and smiled warmly.

「こんにちは。

"Hello.

僕は拓海です。

I'm Takumi.

良い写真が撮れそうな場所ですね。

This seems like a place where you can take good photos."

」その優しい言葉に、私は少し恐縮しましたが、何か惹かれるものを感じて、笑顔を返しました。

I felt a bit shy at his kind words, but I couldn't help feeling drawn to him and returned his smile.

「こんにちは。

"Hello.

私は里奈です。

I'm Rina.

ええ、ここは本当に綺麗ですね。

Yes, this place is truly beautiful."

」拓海さんは、アーティストだと言いました。

Takumi-san said he was an artist.

新しいインスピレーションを探しているそうです。

He was looking for new inspiration.

彼は気さくで話しやすく、私は自然と彼との会話を楽しむようになりました。

He was friendly and easy to talk to, and I naturally began to enjoy our conversation.

話しているうちに、突然の春の雨が降ってきました。

While we were talking, a sudden spring rain started.

「あ、急いで！

"Ah, quickly!"

」と拓海さんが私の手を引き、近くの東屋まで走りました。

Takumi-san exclaimed as he took my hand and we ran to a nearby gazebo.

雨宿りしながら、お互いの夢や将来について語りました。

While sheltering from the rain, we talked about our dreams and futures.

拓海さんは自分のアートで人々に楽しい気持ちを届けたいと言いました。

Takumi-san said he wanted to bring joy to people through his art.

私もカメラで美しい瞬間を捉えて、誰かの心を動かしたいと話しました。

I also shared that I wanted to capture beautiful moments with my camera and move someone's heart.

雨が止むと、桜はもっと輝いて見えました。

When the rain stopped, the sakura looked even more radiant.

「とても綺麗ですね」と私が言うと、拓海さんが「それと同じくらい、里奈さんの写真もきっと素敵です」と言いました。

"They're so beautiful," I said, to which Takumi-san replied, "Just like that, I'm sure your photos, Rina-san, are wonderful too."

お別れの時間がきたとき、私たちは連絡先を交換しました。

When it was time to say goodbye, we exchanged contact information.

「また、お会いしましょう」と拓海さんが言いました。

"Let's meet again," Takumi-san said.

「ぜひ、その時はもっと桜の話をしましょう。

"Next time, let's talk more about the sakura."

」その日以来、私は新しい人と会うことへの楽しみを感じるようになりました。

Since that day, I've come to enjoy meeting new people.

拓海さんの視点を通して、新たなインスピレーションを見つけることができたのです。

Through Takumi-san's perspective, I was able to find new inspiration.

桜の季節に出会った友達とのこの新しい関係が、これからどんな色を見せてくれるのか、とても楽しみにしています。

I'm very much looking forward to what colors this new friendship formed in the sakura season will show from now on.
