冬の日、風が冷たく吹く。

On a winter day, the wind blows cold.

広島と明は、静かな雪の中の山寺、聖福寺へと向かっていた。

Hiroshima and Akira were heading to the mountain temple, Seifukuji, nestled in the quiet snow.

年末の疲れを癒し、新しい年へ向けた準備をするためだ。

It was to heal their year-end fatigue and prepare for the new year.

広島は、毎日忙しい仕事に追われて疲れきっていた。

Hiroshima was exhausted, overwhelmed by his busy daily work.

「このままでいいのか」と自問する日々が続く。

Days of questioning himself, "Is this okay as it is?" continued.

友人の明は、フリーのアーティストとして自由な人生を楽しんでいる。

His friend Akira enjoyed a free life as a freelance artist.

明は広島に言った。「新しい道を探しなよ、人生は一度きりだよ。」

Akira told Hiroshima, "Search for a new path, we only live once."

広島は悩む。

Hiroshima was troubled.

「仕事を辞める勇気なんてない。

"I don't have the courage to quit my job.

でも、このままでは自分を見失ってしまう。」

聖福寺に着くと、雪に包まれた美しい景色が広がっていた。

When they arrived at Seifukuji, a beautiful snow-covered scene spread out before them.

松の森が寺を囲み、小川のせせらぎが静かに聞こえる。

A pine forest surrounded the temple, and the gentle murmur of a brook could be quietly heard.

寺の鐘の音が心を落ち着かせる。

The sound of the temple bell calmed their hearts.

夕方の座禅に参加することにした二人。

The two decided to participate in the evening meditation.

座禅の時間、寺の静けさの中で、広島は目を閉じた。

During the meditation session, in the silence of the temple, Hiroshima closed his eyes.

心の中で湧き上がる様々な思いを静かに見つめる。

He quietly observed the various thoughts that welled up within him.

同時に、明の言葉を思い出した。「自分の道を見つけるんだ。」

At the same time, he recalled Akira's words, "Find your own path."

しばらくすると、広島の中で何かが変わった。

心が軽くなり、新しい道を選ぶ勇気が湧いてきた。

自分の時間を作って、好きなことに挑戦しよう。」

I'll make time for myself and challenge the things I love."

夜、二人は寺の中庭で話した。

That night, the two talked in the temple courtyard.

明が笑顔で言った。「そうだよ、変化は怖いものじゃないよ。

With a smile, Akira said, "That's right, change isn't something to fear.

少しずつ進めばいいんだ。」

You can proceed little by little."

広島は微笑んだ。

Hiroshima smiled.

「ありがとう、明。

"Thank you, Akira.

一歩ずつ進んでみるよ。」

大晦日の夜、鐘が鳴り響く中、広島は新しい年に希望を抱いていた。

On New Year's Eve night, as the bell resonated, Hiroshima held hope for the new year.

仕事も大切にしながら、自分の本当の気持ちを忘れない。

そうして、広島と明は、心に新しい風を感じながら、聖福寺を後にした。

And so, with a new breeze in their hearts, Hiroshima and Akira left Seifukuji.

お寺の静かな冬景色が、二人の新しい出発を優しく見守っていた。

The temple's quiet winter scenery gently watched over the start of their new journey.
