秋の京都、清水寺。

生徒たちのおしゃべりが空気を満たし、子供たちが無邪気に走り回っていた。

The chatter of students fills the air, and children are running around innocently.

その中に、静かな高校生、健太がいた。

Among them was a quiet high school student, Kenta.

彼は歴史が好きで、特に自分の祖先の文化に興味を持っていた。

He liked history and was particularly interested in the culture of his ancestors.

今日の目的地、清水寺で何かを感じたいと強く思っていた。

At today's destination, Kiyomizu-dera, he strongly wished to feel something special.

健太の横には、友達のユキとアイコがいた。

Beside Kenta were his friends, Yuki and Aiko.

ユキは元気で冒険好き。

アイコはみんなをよく見て、時には仲裁役になる優しい子だった。

Aiko often watches over everyone and is a kind person who sometimes plays the peacemaker.

「ねえ、あそこ見て！」ユキが叫んだ。

"Hey, look over there!" Yuki shouted.

「すごく高い！あのバルコニーからの景色、きっと最高だよ。」

"It's so high! The view from that balcony must be amazing."

健太は周りの賑やかさに少し疲れていた。

Kenta was a bit tired from the bustle around him.

生徒たちの笑い声や足音が絶えなく、特別な静寂の時を探していた。

The constant laughter and footsteps of the students were overwhelming, and he was seeking a moment of special silence.

彼はおそるおそる、グループから少し離れることにした。

He cautiously decided to distance himself a little from the group.

「ちょっと、あっちの方を見てくるよ。」と声をかけて、彼は古い木製のバルコニーを目指す。

"I’m going to check out that area over there," he said, heading towards the old wooden balcony.

静かな場所にたどり着いた健太。

Kenta found himself in a quiet place.

紅葉が目の前に広がり、風が優雅に葉を揺らしている。

The autumn leaves spread out before him, and the wind gently ruffled them.

彼はそこで深呼吸をし、心を落ち着ける。

自分の家族の過去がここに繋がっているような気がした。

その時、後ろから小さな足音が近づく。

Just then, small footsteps approached from behind.

「ここにいたんだ。」ユキが笑顔で言った。

アイコも隣で微笑んでいた。

「一人でいると思ったけど、やっぱり一緒がいいね。」

"I thought you might be alone, but it's better together, isn't it?"

ユキとアイコは何も言わず、健太の隣に座った。

Without saying anything more, Yuki and Aiko sat next to Kenta.

言葉は必要なかった。

Words were unnecessary.

静かな時間が流れ、三人は紅葉の美しさを共に感じた。
